So over the weekend, I brought myself up to speed on Suits. I like it.
I found the characterizations in the first few eps to be a little over-reaching, but am glad that they have backed off the whole Harvard thing, and at this point I can think of a few more believable ways to make him an outsider, but as they haven't made it central to every episode-it works.
I will say one thing...I appreciate that its quick. I tried getting into Mad men but I found the first season to just be so slow that it didn't hook me in.
I think the only real thing they are missing is a distinct visual style. If you think about any of the shows that go on to capture the masses, they all have a unique style that you can be sitting in front of a random clip and immediately know what you are watching.
Now that I'm up to speed, I can't wait for the next new ep...this whole donna thing is a nice twist.
I _loved_ Mad Men as well as Suits and see a lot of parallels in it. I think the 2nd and 3rd seasons of Mad Men are really where it comes into its own a bit.

Donna's tits at the end when she was bending over... /drool
What a roller coaster of an episode - super intense. It's ridiculous, some shows would take all season to have something like this unfold... it's actually almost covering too much ground, would like to see some more detail on some of these major maneuvers... i.e. the power struggle with Hartman.

I think the thing I liked about the characters is that they aren't the traditional law stereotypes. Jessica *should* be an older white man and Donna *should* be an older woman.
Spoiler!
They kind of wrote out the loopholes of how to get her back. I would assume to get her back, it would have to be fake-but then she lied about it, which I think damages her character. Even if she did it for a noble cause.
Was there a teaser for next weeks episode? Mine was cut short.
I'm thinking the way they're going is that Daniel Hardman and Travis have set this whole thing up in some rather elaborate revenge ploy, and this is just Hardman taking peices out of Jessica's armor. I don't know how they'd get Donna back, but she'll be back, pretty much count on it, USAtv has yet to off a major character, I doubt they'll start now, especially Donna being a huge dynamic, but I'd bet it'll be something unexpected, and good. I hope.
