Yeah, those are just totally sketch leaked rumors.
However, the Quad cores have been in development for well over a year now. Mid next year actually sounds about the right time for them to drop.
Also, we're at the point where us tech heads can be like, "i think you need to upgrade your dual core computer, my PHONE has 4 cores".  | |

Let's see Quad-core 2.0GHz processor.
I can see them bringing out quad-core next year on tablets, but not phones, and I doubt it would be clocked that high. Maybe 1.3-1.5 GHz 1.5GB RAM, expandable memory with 32GB built-in.
No real reason to go with 1.5 GB ram 4.65-inch Super AMOLED III display developed specially for this phone with an odd 1280 x 1024 resolution, which will give it a pixel density of 352-PPI, the highest on a smartphone so far.  10 megapixel camera capable of recording 1080p videos at 60fps. Metal body with 9mm thickness and a 2,250mAh battery. Built-in NFC.
This is probably the only thing that will end up being correct in this stupid rumor.

why not? there's already talk of a 2.5 Ghz processor Qualcomm Snapdragon roadmap talks of 2.5 GHz quad-core CPUs - GSMArena.com news
The others look like natural progressions to me besides the big screen.

1280x1024 will mean it has a 5:4 screen ratio.... I doubt they will put that on a phone
