anyone know what kind of tires these are? what brand of tires , what size etc.. i am looking for ones like these that have a angle on the side walls. thanks! http://www.cardomain.com/ride/335928...-ex-l-coupe-2d |
??? They dont come with "Angled sidewalls" The tires are simply stretched. and the tires are some type of Toyos |
toyo proxes 1...and like posted lol thats because of stretch |
Mashimoto ZX :troll: |
Since OP's question is answered, anyone know where I can get those hats that have the bill on the side? All the ones I see have the bill in the front. |
if you are over 18, the bill should be in the front :D |
oops i had a feeling they were stretched but don't really have knowledge of tires lol. what size tires are those do you think will stretch like that on 18 inch rims or are they stretched because the rims are wide? any cons to doing that? I'd like to know what options i have of tires since theres limited sizes in 225 40's that im currently looking at. THANKS |
They are stretched because the rims are wide. not a clue about the tire size they have tho, sorry dude |

Pros: Looks good. Less side wall movement when in a drift. Cons: Pushes tire beyond manufacturers guidelines, increasing the likelihood of failure. |

Bolt pattern size is not needed. Your rims are 18^ but how wide are they> For Example, My rims are 17" x 7" wide. Im running a 235/40ZR17 on my rear, and they are close to being square with the rim |

6.5" is a pretty skinny wheel i hate asking but why do you wanna do this anyway, do you know why people even have stretched tires? :suspicious: i think people stretch tires when they 'need' to |

The tire bead breaking loose - probably more common on ghetto DIY stretches. The excessive stress placed on the side wall. I've definitely heard that stretched tires are more susceptible to curb damage, due to the lack of protection normally given by the side wall. Also, some people encourage running higher tire pressure when on stretched tires which results in increased tire wear. |
You wont be able to stretch anything on an. 8" rim. Heres a 215/35 18 on a 8" rim. Pretty much square. Rear is 225 40 on a 9" rim http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c6...9/6c87d680.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c6...9/f8ad20d5.jpg Posted via RS Mobile |

^ Camber > Stretching thinner tire than OE Spec. Also, stretching tires just because it "looks cool" is stupid. You only stretch for fitment issues. If you're rolling on sunken wheels and have stretched tires, you're a ricer. |
