Two people were taken to hospital with undetermined injuries around noon on Friday when a Mercedes Benz plowed into an office at the Royal Bank at No. 3 Road and Cook.
According to a witness, a woman who appeared to be in her 50s drove her light grey E320 half way into the wall of the bank, just to the east of the bank's south entranceway.
"We heard the noise, a big bang," said one witness, who saw the Mercedes sticking halfway into the building.
According to the Richmond RCMP, the driver was parking her vehicle when it didn't stop, but instead slammed into the bank's exterior wall.
Two people inside the bank were injured, and were taken to hospital for treatment.
The extent of their injuries was unknown, according to police, and the investigation is continuing.
