NCIX's warehouse sale is happening again tomorrow.
For those that have gone in the past, what is their SSD selection and prices like at the sale? Looking to see if it would be worth my while to line up way early in the morning for a new SSD.

If someone does go to the NCIX warehouse sale...
If you happen to come across any z77 or z78 mobos, grab it and I will pay you back and a little bit on top for your efforts.

Hey guys - I'm having some troubles with a PC I'm building
during the boot I can't access the bios menu by pressing the keys on they keyboard - a screen pops up shortly after with a "usb over current" status detected and it shuts off after 15 seconds.
It's an entirely new PC with parts, but I'm not understanding why this problem is popping up.
It's an ASUS M5A97 with a Thermaltake TR2 600W PSU if that helps, Antec One case.

Try a different keyboard? It seems as some sort of USB device is drawing too much power. Check if there are any metal in the USB ports causing a short. Posted via RS Mobile |

| ForeverYours just try an old school keyboard with one of those PS2 ? plugs or whatever it's called since you're having USB issues
hey guys what's a good wireless gaming mouse with GOOD BATTERY LIFE or does that even exist ? something I could use throughout the day and charge it overnight....
I bought 2 brand new Logitech G700 mouses last year and they both perform like shit from day one, even on the general non gaming setting battery saver setting, I'm lucky if I get 2 hours of battery life. And the wireless signal noticeably lags if I'm anywere 5 feet away from the receiver, eventhough the range is supposed to be 100 feet.... I mean what are the odds I got 2 lemony G700's ??

So it's time for me to upgrade my graphics card. Currently, I have a 1GB PNY GTX 560 ti. I'm thinking of going SLI (the card can be had for cheap), or jump to a 2GB GTX 670. I'd like to continue to run future games on relatively high settings, so which would I benefit most from?

SLI means you'll still have 1GB...which isn't gonna cut it for future games
the card to get is really the 7950 if you OC...or 760 if you dont OC...or you could wait a month to see what the HD8000 series will offer (it's not a new architecture tho)

Noob question.
Does using an SSD make it slower? If it does or doesn't, what will make it slower?

You can remedy this by keeping the drive at least 10% empty. You can do this simply by making the partition smaller than the total capacity of the drive.
Here's an example of how some drives handle it.. note that this is hammering them with a lot more data than you would be writing, but it basically accelerates what you would see:
That's the transfer rate, access times are even more affected, and arguably even more noticeable |

Damn.
Was looking to get an SSD just for OS and using a sata to put all my other stuff (games, docs, etc...). Was looking to get a used one from someone but now am thinking that I'm better off getting a new one.

oh all this gets reset as soon as you erase the drive
However you do have the issue that you can only write to memory a limited number of times. If you know exactly how much was written to it, used is worth considering. Otherwise if you don't know, look elsewhere

Otherwise if you don't know, look elsewhere | I was looking at a 830 128GBs. What should I be looking for? How much of it was used? As in how full did it?
Looking at your chart, the 830 seems to drop significantly, should I be looking at another SSD?
