Planning on it! |
Hey guys need some help , I don't know much about computers anymore . I need to upgrade my rig for bf4, and hopefully run 1080 in high to ultra settings Current setup Amd 1055t 6 core overclocked to 3.6 8g DDR 3 Crappy hard drive 5870 video card Power supply I think is rated 850w I'm just wondering if i should crossfire my card since the 5870 used is around $100 on craigslist Or should I just buy a new card?. My budget is around $200. Thanks in advance Posted via RS Mobile |
New card is generally always better than crossfire. For $200 you can get some pretty decent deals. |
You probably won't get ultra with a current gen $200 card. I would say get a Radeon 7870 and run it in High or so. When Mantle comes out, you'll get a performance increase. |
knocked my external hard drive to the ground from the desk and now it won't work just hear the drive clicking :okay: |
Replace it with an SSD ;) I just got a UASP enclosure for USB 3.0 testing on motherboards (about $20).. With an SSD it runs at 440-450 MB/s read and write :megusta: Only works in UASP mode in Windows 8, otherwise it's a standard USB 3.0 drive, running at 250 MB/s or so |
i need lots of space its a 4tb drive got the drive over the summer so i guess there's a warranty on it |
NVIDIA Fires Back; Cuts Prices of GTX 660, GTX 650 Ti Boost & GTX 650 Ti | Hardware Canucks In an effort to compete against AMD’s upcoming R9 270X and R7 260X, NVIDIA will be lower the price on three of their key SKUs: the GTX 660, GTX 650 Ti Boost and GTX 650 Ti. |
Still testing PSU. Will do cable management + hide the HDD/SDD and order some LED lights soon! Also looking into getting H100 in the future to see overclocking potential. http://i.imgur.com/J2lEkvb.jpg |

^Yup. Roomy. Plus keeps everything cool and quiet. |
System I built for a friend.. He was 100% a console gamer until now :fuckyea: http://i.imgur.com/Bb9LVzz.jpg Core i7 4770K Gigabyte Z87M-D3H MSI GeForce 780 GAMER 16GB Crucial DDR3 1600 Intel 520 240GB (Windows, apps) Intel DC-S3700 800GB (Steam) Corsair H60 Corsair CX600M Cooler Master Silencio 352 Asus Xonar Phoebus Solo (added later) And yeah I didn't spend much time cabling. Nobody will see it though, and there is sufficient airflow from the front. |
one thing I don't like about this case is I can't remove the SSD easily. |
Dayamn. 1tb of ssd |

what programs are you running that require 1TB? i mean i dont need 20 games installed at once |
I don't need to have 20 games installed either, but it's nice to be able to :) |
|
IIRC the M500 doesn't hit full speed until you get to 512GB |
Looking to a 2nd monitior. Any good suggestions? Doesn't need to be big or super expensive (around 19 to 22inch is good enough). Mostly for when I am programming or need to have 2 doc open at the same time. Currently using a 24inch right now. Thinking of getting a Dell P1914S since I can turn it vertical. |
