Long shot here but does anybody have some leftover thermal compound? I need some for my espresso machine (like, very little. See attached photo.)

They aren't more or less identical, they are literally identical Clock speeds can change depending on manufacturer too | not for long...wait and few weeks to get the 280X AMD Preparing Tahiti XTL Revision of Radeon R9 280X Graphic Card For November Release |

Get a 4770k and at least 8gb ram. You don't need a maximus 4, but it'd be nice to have.
Right now, even a old gtx460 is would be held back by your cpu and ram, let alone sli gtx670.

Q6600 is still a good processor imo, especially if overclocked.

depends on the games, CPU can be important.. like BF4, I read a good cpu can benefit a lot... but 8gb is the minimum nowadays...

The chip is almost 7 years old, it's time for it to be retired. The gtx670 sli is barely utilized with such an old cpu.

I tried running BF3 ultra once in surround with 2GHz Core 2 Duo and 4GB RAM...needless to say the 670 SLI avg'd 30fps
so yes something from the Core 2 era is too old and will severely bottleneck modern GPUs...that said 6600 had a terrific run and remained relevant for over 2 full set of Intel's tick-tock cadence
i recall reading BF4 beta pushing a 3570K all cores to full load

$159.99 - $14 = $145.99 Kingston HyperX 240GB Solid State Drive (SH103S3) : Solid State Drives - Future Shop
This also includes free shipping. And if you manage to get a gift card for 80% value, it's even better.

IF futureshop has the same PM as bestbuy does... I have to pay full price, submit the PM application and then wait... | You have to make the initial purchase then call in the for the PM. However, it takes all of 5 mins to accomplish and I have never had any problems doing this. Plus that 5 mins is more than it takes for shipping to take place.

770 should be priced at $299
I'd go for the 280X...like I said wait a few weeks to see if that rumor of a new 280X chip is true before you decide.

It's important to keep things in perspective, though. We've written 200TB to the drives—the equivalent of more than 100GB per day for five years—and most of the SSDs are completely intact. Even though a decent-sized portion of the 840 Series' flash has expired, the drive appears to be far from failure.
| As an educated consumer, it is important to look at our own data usage patterns, and then apply the results from the SSD endurance test back to what you do. If your SSD is primarily an OS+programs drive, does it really matter if it doesn't have that top tier endurance rating? If your usage falls way short of the endurance test levels, how many years are you gonna need before you achieve the same level of drive wear as the torture test?

I'm looking to buy a wireless network card (pci or usb) within the next few days.
I've researched that PCI is more stable, and that a USB one can overheat and kill itself.
The PC is going to be used for Internet surfing and YouTube mainly, probably won't be gaming much, if at all. The PC is about 25 ft away from the router, 2 basic interior walls in between.
Powerline method is more than I want I want to pay for.
I'm looking for something around $20~. Cheaper the better, as long as it's not terrible in durability/performance. I'm just looking for something that's good "bang for bucks" for the avg PC user doing the tasks mentioned earlier.
I don't need "flexibility" so having a PCI network card is fine, but those tend to cost slightly more than the USB ones. As I've seen USB ones as cheap as $10, those really really small ones. (Smaller than the USB stick size.)
Also, I don't know what specs I'm looking for. I assume everything will be compatible? My router/modem is the stock Telus one.

Radeon HD7950 or the GTX 660??
GTX 660 can be had for around $200-$230
Radeon HD7950 for about $250-$270
right now I have the GTX 560Ti and the game Im currently playing is BF4.. So Im guessing 7950? since it can take advantage of the mantle api and bf4 is made to support amd cards better??
