So if you must choose between the two, I'd go with the cheaper drive. Then again, with us this close to Christmas / Boxing Day, I'd really just wait for those deals instead.

knight604 12-03-2013 12:33 PM

just pick up this..

160$ for 240gb intel 530.

Buy the Intel 530 Series 240 GB Internal SSD at TigerDirect.ca

Traum 12-03-2013 12:36 PM

If you missed it, NCIX was just selling 2 of their 240-ish GB SSD for $135 - $140 during their Black Friday / Cyber Monday sales. If you can afford to wait, I'd fully expect similar prices to come up again during Boxing week sales.

Can't wait the P2815Q. I need a monitor for a while now but with 4k so close to be affordable, I keep waiting.

Hopefully, Apple will come up with one at 999 (their current TBD price) with the same panel. It would go nicely with the Mac Pro I'm going to order.

So I just got myself a 144Hz monitor, but only have a GTX670. What would you say would be a cost-effective non-SLI upgrade to the card? Or should I hold out for the nVidia 8xx series?

twitchyzero 12-04-2013 01:59 PM

Asus 1080p? I'd keep the 670 chugging along for now...you won't be able to use the potential of your monitor for a while but a 670 is still relevant until the 800 series

Buy a G-Sync module when it comes out, and enjoy smooth frame delivery no matter what framerate your card is spitting out

That's why I got it - but it would still be good to have a card that can take advantage of the 144Hz refresh.

SkinnyPupp 12-04-2013 03:52 PM

Lower your settings :troll:

Hondaracer 12-04-2013 06:04 PM

Hmm so I've got my old gaming PC I pulled out from my grandparents, after basically a random amount of time it resets itself, and there also seemingly doesn't seem like there is any particular reason behind it as I'll put a tonne of stress on it via opening programs etc and it will run fine at somewhat normal temps then reset eventually

Any program or bios readings I can look at to tell me what's going on?
