Just won a bid on eBay for a 240GB Mushkin Enhanced Chronos SSD. $105 USD instead of $124 on Newegg. This one's going into my laptop to replace a 500GB 7200rpm Toshiba drive. Anything I should be aware of when cloning an HDD to an SSD? http://www.ncix.com/detail/mushkin-c...m-90-83073.htm |

So long as the HD you're cloning is going into the same system, there should be absolutely no problems provided you do your partitioning first. |

i dont know the performance difference btw the regular and Ti...but I suspect 3GB is plenty for 1440p for the regular...Ti might be worth it for 6GB a lot of times the extra vram is marketing gimmick...your GPU wont have enough horsepower to actually push and use all that VRAM if the pricing will replace current 3GB models then it doesnt hurt to wait |

Anyone have any experience with PNY SSDs? I've seen them going on sale a lot these past few days.. http://www.amazon.com/PNY-6Gbps-2-5-...words=PNY+XLR8 |
quick question abt Windows 8, previously my comp was running a legit version of win 7, cd key came from the student/college thing that ms offers for free. I paid to up to win 8, but i dont recall getting a cd key. How do i go abts reformatting n getting a digital version of win 8? Do i have to reinstall win 7, then do the upgrade install to win 8 or can i just straight install win 8? Tia Posted via RS Mobile |
Didn't you get some kind of code for the upgrade? How were you able to upgrade? |
i got a code, but it def wasnt a cd key, forgot what that code was used for, n i prob dont even have that code now |
Weird, try contacting whoever you got the code from or contact MS support, they've been quite helpful with keys in the past. |
ok forgot the cd key part, lots of programs can sniff out the cd key, but i now have a new question. since i am running a windows 8 Pro that is upgraded via windows 7, would ANY win 8 oem ISO i download work... it doesnt seem like the ms site has full versions of win 8 to download even if u have a legit key so im guessing ill have to resort to torrent an oem iso? |

(Generated by PCPartPicker 2014-04-16 17:45 EDT-0400) Any thoughts? Contemplating whether or not I want to go watercooled or stick to the EVO 212. I put the H100i for now. EDIT: Made some changes, switched the Mobo from the GENE IV to the Gigabyte instead. And switched the PSU to a fully modular one. |

Looking for an upgrade to play bf3. i havent bought it yet but my guess is it will run like shit. I have a pretty old setup E8400 3.0 (OC to 4.0ghz) and 2 560 Ti's (passed on from my brother.. before that it was a 4870) and 4gb ram. Anyway, should I debate upgrading to a quad core or just swap over to the new socket? Maybe more ram? I'm still LGA 775 and I really dont want to spend too much money. I would think the CPU is bottlenecking the GPUS at the moment. I got a corsair 650w psu which i hope is still enough. I don't really follow whats up with computer technology anymore and it seems to always change :lol any suggestions? |
