I don't know if I have astronomically bad luck with wireless devices, or if they actually all are this bad. I owned multiple Logitech gaming mice, a Creative wireless headset , Microsoft wireless and bluetooth keyboards and all of these items are higher end models, not their cheap shit... and nothing I mean nothing but shit fucking range, I literally can't go beyond 5 feet before these things start cutting in and out. I first thought the wireless signals were interfering with one another, but then I would individually test the devices one at a time still same shit. I mean some of these things claim they have 100's of feet of range, do I just have creepy bad luck with this shit, or are the devices really supposed to work like that, bit of wisdom from you guys por favor |
try changing your wifi channels and its bandwidth, or may be you live close to an electric substation? honestly unless you're in the living room there's no reason to go wireless besides a headphone. Cell phones, cordless phones, microwave, neighbour's wifi, there's too many factors of interference |

Yea I thought interference was the issue since its a condo unit, so I figured Bluetooth is different so I'll do that instead of wireless.... But I guess whatever interfere with wireless does so for Bluetooth as well... I have a desk at the back of the living room where the PC and monitor are... But I also have an HDMI cord running all the way to the front of the living room to the big screen TV, so I either lay down on my couch use the wireless combos there, or sit at my desk and use the mouse/keyboard combo that's connected to the PC But yea I'm pretty much gonna give up, I'll set it all back up when I move into a house, shouldn't be much interference there I suppose like a high rise has |
What are you running on your TV from the PC? If it's just media stuff get a cheap IR PC remote off Amazon, and run a USB cable from your PC to it. |

Previously, I could barely get a solid connection within the same room (with the built in BT tx). Now my PC sitting in my room (2nd floor) can stream to my BT cans all over the house including the garage and only cuts out when I go into the movie room which is in the basement. This is the exact one I am using + an old 3ft ext cable that came with a hdd. (Thou usb can go up to 15ft w/o a repeater and follow the path of your HDMI cable to place it as close as possible to your couch. It is dirt cheap , like only 2 bucks @ monoprice) IOGear USB Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter, Multi-Language Edition at Memory Express |
underscore it's basically a duplicate monitor setup, sometimes I just sit at the desk and use the PC like one typically would, but when the wife is not using the TV to watch her bullshit reality fuckin shows, then I like to recline back in the sofa with mouse and keyboard in hand and surf dat porn on 60" of screen  VK9 yea I have an older IoGear 2.0 bluetooth adapter and like you said I have to use a USB extension cable to bring it all the way to my sofa so it can be super close to my keyboard... if I plug it into my PC which is less than 10 feet away I get noticeable input lag I will try out this new 4.0 adapter you recommended to see if I'm able to use it without the annoying USB extension for a cleaner setup, thanks |
VK79 bring up a good point, if the interference is coming from the PC itself then you might just need to get things a couple feet away from it |
Where do you guys get cheap compressed air? Got a few servers i'm trying to get up and running but they're all dusty. |

Any good deals on 256GB SSD? |
Thinking of upgrading my CPU. Currently have the core Core i5 2500k oc at 4.6ghz. Not sure if I should get the new haswells or wait for the 5th gen CPUs. |
a waste of money...at the very least you should wait for broadwell but it's gonna be at least 6 months out what do you have trouble running with a 4.6GHz sandy? |
Broadwell isn't really worth waiting for. If you really wanted to upgrade, I would get the i5-4690K and match it with a decent Z97 board. It's on sale right now for 229.99 - Intel Core i5 4690K Unlocked Quad Core 3.5GHZ/3.9GHZ Processor LGA1150 Haswell 6MB Cache Retail - DirectCanada |

Damn, no one ended up even messaging me except lowballers for my mITX, so I guess I'll be keeping it. Really want to build another rig though.. shit's addictive like Lego back when we were kids. |
whats everyones take on the gtx 970? planning to get the asus version when it comes out as i believe my gigabyte 7970HD GHz is about to die. lately when playing games the monitors would shut off randomly and not get any picture back unless i restart my pc. the monitors would turn black and start hunting for a source. it seems to happen more and more frequently so i think it may be the videocard is about to die. |
