ncix has the intel 320 160GB ssd for $159.99 on their boxing day sale starting @5pm (includes a free game: RAGE)

$1 a gb

Hondaracer 12-24-2011 03:04 PM

is there any issue or concern in running 2 different SSD's?

also if run in Raid or whatever are the speed increases noticeable or what?

StylinRed 12-24-2011 04:36 PM

ncix has crap for sale

except a 2tb hd for $70 but am not looking for an hd

side note is there any reason not to have 16gb of ram? (memories so cheap)

twitchyzero 12-24-2011 05:16 PM

StylinRed 12-24-2011 05:22 PM

I realize that but you can only order it on boxing day. I work that day so paying $10 extra for knowing purchase is confirmed is better.

twitchyzero 12-24-2011 05:28 PM

Intel's pretty good with MIR ..yeah? $120 is a lot to gamble haha

not sure if i should get the older OCZ Z 1000w for $110 MIR or the new corsair tx850m $90 MIR

i dont need the extra power but it's more efficient (80 Plus Gold)...but probably doesn't have the same quality as the corsair-rebranded seasonic...not to mention OCZ MIR are more PITA

leaning towards the corsair as I have ME credits to burn :alonehappy:

StylinRed 12-24-2011 05:37 PM

corsair uses japanese capacitors right? id go with them

cctw 12-24-2011 05:58 PM

Seasonic X660 Gold ATX 12V 24PIN 660W Active PFC 80PLUS Gold Modular SLI Ready Power Supply - Seasonic Electronics - X-660 Gold

is this a good deal?
contemplating returning my 850w ocz just because I don't need that much power and its ocz and the $30 MIR..

the seasonic would come out $12 more if i include the MIR

cctw 12-24-2011 06:01 PM

and how is this drive?

ADATA AS510S3-120GM-C 120GB 2.5IN SATA3 SandForce SF-2281 Solid State Disk Drive SSD - AData Technology - AS510S3-120GM-C

twitchyzero 12-24-2011 06:10 PM

80 Gold is worth way more than a few hundred watts you'll never ever use.

exdee 12-24-2011 11:18 PM

the instore deals are pretty decent at ncix
Intel 320 Series GEN3 80GB 2.5IN SSD SATA2 Solid State Disk Flash Drive Retail W/ Bracket - 49.99

I was also thinking of getting this... anyone else find any good deals on video cards? i originially wanted a nvidia but for that price i might get this instead..

twitchyzero 12-25-2011 01:12 PM

^i dont know the details about the MIR if it's only limited to one...but since it's pretty much half off and i was in the market for mid to high end card i would totally buy two of those for crossfire.

!MiKrofT 12-25-2011 01:35 PM

It's 1 per customer. Says right on the Memory Express front page beside the buy button as well as in the mail in rebate pdf.

trancehead 12-25-2011 03:16 PM

Intel SSD MIR's are paid out to you in form of AMEX gift cards. i just read their fine print...so a heads up

twitchyzero 12-25-2011 03:49 PM

how was memory express' server last year during BD?
i dont like the idea of everyone already having their items in cart and crazy mass check-out gonna crash the server like mad haha

unit 12-25-2011 04:19 PM

bought the crucial m4 for 199, the samsung monitor for 99, and the radeon 6850 for 104 after MIR. not bad...

cctw 12-26-2011 06:16 AM

604nguyen 12-26-2011 12:14 PM
