I would look into display fusion on steam or similar apps
they probably have a mode where you can set 2 desktops on 21:9

you can't go back once you've tried 21:9 34"

I have a Lenovo laptop, but not all graphic card and laptop will support Display Port @ 3440 x 1440, only HDMI 1080p

Yea I'll have to look at something similar to Display Fusion for OSX.

But I also might just be able to use the screen real estate to manage my applications instead of Spaces.

Mostly will be using it for programming and editing photos.

Edit: actually might just get a 2nd U2412m. I do use OSX's spaces in my workflow a lot and like how each monitor has a different set of desktops. Not sure how that would work with just one big monitor
Well, reply's a week late, but I've a U3417W which is amazing to work on. Just about perfect for two side by side windows; image and colour quality are no slouch either. I calibrated it for 100% sRGB coverage at D65

Just need to leak test and get a couple more parts and should be good to go.

Upgraded to a 7700k + G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32GB kit + Asus Maximus IX mobo.
Got some new water-cooling parts. EK Supremacy Evo + Heatkiller 200mm res.

5Ghz @ 1.28v
Haven't delid the CPU as of yet, might not. I'm fairly comfortable with my temps and voltage.

Any recommendations for silent computer case fans? Looking for 120mm fans that won't break the bank. Local or Amazon. Tia.

Not too sure but I love that case I wish they had a XL version. I know most people just stick a rad up front though.

While it was a mITX version, the Evolv ITX sucked donkey balls.

If the top is an exhaust, it should be fine.

Leak tested and got it up and running. Should tide me over for now, thinking about putting this all in a new case, have had my 760t for close to 3 years and is the oldest thing in my build. The Merlin SM8 seems really appealing.

Any comment on the cheaper 1080Ti? Anything to avoid or are they all the same?

Looking to get a card for my eGPU setup for mac.

this gen they're all basically the same
my brief research concluded that asus is slightly better for noise and a hair faster
just got the ftw3 few days ago...will probably send it back for the lightning...or maybe not the market is going nuts from cryptomining

what kind of enclosure will you be using? I'd lean towards a blower-style cooler like the reference design

Reference design only worth it if you plan on doing SLI or if you are going to use it in a small mITX build.
