Seasonic i'm pretty sure uses all good parts in their products from japan i'm quite sure & highest rated...i almost cheaped out on my first build and thank god i didn't cause the lower bronze rated power suppy 500 watt only reached 412 watt in true power.....so i would've being screwed big time if i made the mistake of getting a crappy power supply thats really important |
ram and SSD are damn expensive these days |

Get a proper ergonomic chair - Herman Miller Aeron, Steelcase Leap, etc. Used on Craigslist you can get them around 250 and up, and it's the best money you'll spend on furniture besides a good mattress. I have a Leap V2, and it's so comfortable for long gaming sessions because the whole chair supports you and moves with you. No hot spots or uncomfortable pressure points. I have converted 5 other people into buying Leaps (V1 or V2) and also one guy who bought an Embody because he's baller. They all love and appreciate their chairs. They don't look sexy but so much better for your posture and seating position. https://cdn.steelcase.com/ezcontent/...0/131/2/01.png https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/bnc/...399539799.html |
^ I've been sitting in one of those every day for work for the last ~6 years, zero complaints. It doesn't even have any wear. |

I was bored so I thought I would put together a threadripper system for mining including 4 RX Vega 56 GPUs 32 gigs of ram and a 1600 watt PSU. Total cost just under $7500. Mining Monero 24/7 You would pay for system in 13 months at current rates. Not bad and at the end you would have a crazy over kill system. |
^ were you the one who messaged me through craigslist? i have the board, memory and PSU of the specs you've brought up. Does memory matter in mining? |

DisplayPort on the Intel HD 3000 doesn't output 4K60 next cheapest option is worth as much as the mobo :okay: long shot but anyone wanna part with their RX 550 and trade up to a 1080 Ti plus cash? |
Upgraded my Thinkpad T460 with a crucial 8gb ddr3 sodimm ram and 512gb ssd selected by the crucial tool. I have the issue of black screen (even when connected to external display) and no response on keyboard/mouse - doesn't boot and turns off. I took out the new ram and booted with the new SSD with original ram. Works fine. Anyone have any ideas why the new crucial ram doesn't work? I've googled and it said to use external display - which doesn't work for me. Update: BIOS was updated, and New ram replacing old ram in slot 1 works, if old ram is removed. Update 2: Just put s1 = new ram, S2 = old ram and it works wtf |
Why the hell does Best buy sell this? https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product...10278025.aspx? Bought it plugged it in to my new mining build running windows 10 and nothing happened. Searched for some windows 10 drivers nothing. Found out they only have drivers for windows 7 and Vista. :fulloffuck: Was finally able to get it running using the Windows 7 set up file. Best Buy should not be selling this. |
Why not? Plenty of stuff still runs W7. |

If you have a computer with windows 7 and upgrade to 10 your internet will stop working. Then you have to find another computer to download the Windows 7 drivers. |

looking to build a new pc and can't decide whether to go with z370 + 8400 or z270 + 7600k. i'd use it mainly for gaming; currently playing pubg most of the time. i know with the 8400, there'll be six cores that can hit 3.8ghz for all cores; or i can OC the 7600K to 4.5+ ghz for all (but only 4 cores) can anybody convince me of either choice? thanks in advance! |
i just built a new rig asus prime z270-a with the 7600k. using the CAM software that comes with my NZXT Kraken it monitors my CPU and GPU load + temps and shit. pretty sure the load isnt 100% accurate, but the temps are. my cpu stock runs about at 50% load most of the time in PUBG. if im correct, the 7600k OC'd gets better performance on single core and quad core applications, however the 8400 has more cores / threads and is more power efficient. most games only tend to use 4 cores so hmm this is a tough one pretty sure both CPU's are quite neck and neck performance wise, guess it's really all up to cost and how readily available the parts are. side note, with the current ram shortage situation just keep note that the 8400 only takes ddr4 2666, and the 7600k takes ddr4 2133 and 2400 |
wtf pubg has an update that allows to use 6-cores and takes some load off the gpu...i knew people with an amd build on ryzen 5 with Radeon RX 480 get bumped up 30 fps with the new update compared to before. https://steamcommunity.com/games/578...01826007887564 |
