Memory Express wants $2499 for the 32c lol
think i'll hold onto my 16c until they have a 64c...either way I love the market correction (catching up after Intel's been sitting on its laurels)
kinda dumb how AMD named and marketed the 12c and 16c for gaming |

I don't need a HEDT CPU, so I usually just wait for Intel to put one of their latest CPUs on promotion with their Retail Edge program. Hopefully they'll have a decent 8-core on there in the next year.
My main right now has a i7-8750H and it's pretty snappy. Don't really see much of a difference versus last generation 4-core CPUs though.

What do you guys think of the Logitech g920 wheel? Is it any good? Someone is selling one with the sifter and pedals $200. He claims it's new.

Caselabs closing because of tariffs. Custom Computer Cases | Best Computer Cases | Computer Tower Cases - CaseLabs Quote:
We are very sad to announce that CaseLabs and its parent company will be closing permanently. We have been forced into bankruptcy and liquidation. The tariffs have played a major role raising prices by almost 80% (partly due to associated shortages), which cut deeply into our margins. The default of a large account added greatly to the problem. It hit us at the worst possible time. We reached out for a possible deal that would allow us to continue on and persevere through these difficult times, but in the end, it didn’t happen.
We are doing our best to ship as many orders as we can, but we won’t be able to ship them all. Parts orders should all ship, but we won’t be able to fulfill the full backlog of case orders. We are so incredibly sorry this is happening. Our user community has been very devoted to us and it’s awful to think that we have let any of you down. There are over 20,000 of you out there and we are very grateful for all the support we have received over the years. It was a great journey that we took together and we’re thankful that we got that chance.
We understand that there will likely be a great deal of understandable anger over this and we sincerely apologize. We looked at every option we had. This is certainly not what we envisioned. Some things were just out of our control. We thought we had a way to move forward, but it failed and we disabled the website from taking any more orders.
It was a privilege to serve you and we are so very sorry things turned out this way.

nV wants 999 usd minimum for the new Ti, raff out roud https://www.anandtech.com/show/13249...0-ti-2080-2070
anyone who's not desperate for an upgrade should wait until next year's 7nm...this is apparently gonna be a very short generation (despite very innovative tech for quality over performance)

Nvidia is just capitalizing on the new tech since competitors are not within range yet.
Remember when Nvidia released their first $1000 USD card? That was way back in the days April 2012; it was the GeForce GTX 690. I remembered waiting weeks to get my hands on one.
Now, $1k mark is so easily hit...

Kinda of miss having a desktop now... Having to use a laptop is nice and all but I can't play any games on it lol (USING Intel620) .ram is on the low side as well 4GB. Seems find when watching most online streaming but I can't play 1080 on crunchyroll for some reason it just lags and buffers try using different webbrowser and changing the settings doesn't help. Not to mention I only have 256GB HDD so I have to constantly move my movies onto my back up.
Put spending 2k on a desktop just doesn't seem to worth it........

Put spending 2k on a desktop just doesn't seem to worth it........ | There's a huge gulf between what you're using now and a $2k desktop. You can put something together for well under a grand that will be miles ahead of your laptop.

Now, $1k mark is so easily hit... | I recall grabbing the 670 at launch for around $300 a piece (6 years honestly isn't even that long ago) saving $100 at launch was considered a fairly decent deal then...yeah we're not gonna see the 2070 and beyond under $600 ever again Quote:

Anyone know of a really cheap NAS solution? Basically I just need a regular HDD enclosure, but have to be able to connect to it with ethernet.
So far the cheapest I've found are "cloud" products from WD for like $200. There must be a really cheap one out there that I haven't come across.

It's been a sucky two weeks. State of my PC right now:
How it was 4 hours before this:
So, my Corsair H100 AIO cooler was going. I heard crackling/fizzing noises from the unit, and I went, that's okay, it's 6 years old at this point. Decided to get a Noctua NH-U12S, and go back to air cooling for less hassle and less noise. Had a Corsair 275R with tempered glass side, and a Corsair RM750x PSU that had been sitting for a few months at this time (wanted to start getting new rig together but money problems put that on hold) so I figured, okay, may as well move it to the new case, put in the new modular PSU, new cooler and get everything nice and neat.
After doing cable management and trying to get everything as neat and nice as possible... the Corsair PSU turned out to be a lemon. Okay, whatever, it's got a 10-year warranty, time to RMA.
After filling out a ticket, talking to CS at Corsair, I decide to file for an advanced RMA where I put down a deposit via CC, they ship a new replacement out, I ship the defective unit back and then they refund me. Only... the tracking number that shows up says it's going to Calgary. WTF? Call UPS, and they tell me that it's not being shipped to me, it's some other dude in Calgary. After 4 days of dealing with Corsair CS and trying to get them to figure out what is going on, they finally give up and admit they don't know where my replacement PSU is, and ship out a new replacement PSU today.
Still waiting on the tracking number on that one... but so far this has left me with a piss-poor impression of Corsair Customer Support.

ram is expensive, intel cpu is expensive, video card is expensive. Neither of them is so much quicker than the last gen.
