check amazon.ca as well, sometimes they have deals along with same day prime shipping.

Observations:
- NewEgg's pick up hours are absolutely horrible. I dread buying from them the most because of this, but when they are the only one that has the deal I need, I just have to bite the bullet.
- Memory Express and Canada Computers generally seems on par to me. I find that CC normally is a touch cheaper, but ME will almost always price match, so it is a non-issue. |
use amazon and also https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/products/
you can check what the cheapest place online is and the price of a part over the past 1-2 years to find the best deal

90 Hz is already approaching diminishing returns. That's what I aim for with performance.. 90-144 FPS as much as possible. Aside from that, frame time consistency is more important

There are 4K 144 Hz monitors out now. That’s probably what I’d look into

Just make sure it has some form of variable refresh or there's little point. Either gsync or freesync

I'd like to pick out the parts and have them build the PC for me as I suck at assembling things. | In addition to everything already mentioned, look up your parts on shopbot.ca as well. It is a great resource to find other online retailers that you can use to apply for price match at your preferred store. Might save you a couple of bucks.

its all up to you how competitive you are for 240hz,i see how some people play with 144hz with slow reaction time and i wouldn't even bother with response time if you saw how bad their game sense is...Haha.

$145 for a 1TB WD Blue SSD. This is very cheap, right? Back when it was BF sales, a 1TB Samsung Evo 860 was going for $179. Now, I think Evo 860 is a touch faster than this WD Blue, but still, $35 is cheaper by quite a bit.

the newer motherboards will still support SATA M.2?
I don't have a M.2, so I wonder if NVME and SATA share the same connectors, they don't right?

m.2 is just a connector type
usually SATA/NVMe are both supported
like how USB-C is just a connector but there's many different bandwidth types (ie. Thunderbolt 3)

To add, as m.2 is just a connector type there's no speed advantage to using an m.2 SATA SSD vs 2.5" SATA SSD. The only thing is fewer cables to run but performance should be identical.
