Would you guys recommend getting a 570 if it was less than $300 now or wait for the 6xx series cards at the same price?

Unless you need it right now, i think it makes sense to wait for the 28nm version..

^Run a server, which is what all that would be for lol.

Apparently CoolerMaster is coming out with a closed loop watercooling solution to beat the H80/H100 and anything else like that. Get a load of this:

CeBIT 2012 - Cooler Master Upcoming Products Preview - Cooler Master Eisberg 120 and 240

Standard 120mm/240mm radiators, coiled spring reinforced tubing, and a very good pump/cpu block with the pump being made by Eheim (big name in aquatics). Fully expandable and the pump can apparently feed 8 blocks?

the point of the corsair H products are meant to be somewhat affordable...if those units are going to run $200 then why wouldn't people just opt for custom water cooling?

Well, for one I'm going to assume that it won't be the equivalent of 140 Euros here, should be cheaper than that. If you can get a set like that for ~$160 CAD (guessing from UK prices), considering that it's so much more versatile than the H100 or C240, I'm pretty sure I'd go for it if it actually gets me a step closer to a custom loop.

I'm going to hold off until there's actually some reviews out, but from the sounds of it going custom from that is really just adding some tubing, a reservoir, and whatever block s you want to it.

So I'm completing my build today and going to pick up the noctua NH-D14 heatsink, anyone know any difference between it and the $10 cheaper NH-U12P?

^

No real difference though
If you're not going to do some serious OCing, the Noctua D14 wont be the best bang for the buck. Sure you have temps 3-4d lower but its 3-4x more expensive.

con's:
- no top fans

I'd say get the 500r. (biased opinion)

I have one myself and im loving it. Even tho there are no top fans, those are something that can be added.. and if you were to use the H100 RAD, it just fits where those fans would have been.

Depends. Sometimes I use it myself, sometimes I keep it for future testing, sometimes I give it away to friends or family, sometimes I just throw it in the garbage after a while. Sometimes I have to keep it indefinitely
