anyone buy a herman miller?....thinking of making the investment for my back and a "1 time" buy.

was thinking of those gaming race seat style chairs in the very start but reading reviews and such i don't want to waste my $$$..

even secretlab has the same style..and i almost got one of those.

Are "gamer chairs" inherently more expensive over there? Because my chair is a "gaming chair" and I got it because it was the most comfortable reasonably priced chair I could find...

I got my Nitro Concepts (same company as Noblechairs) chair a month ago and it's been really comfortable for me.

Then again, I was using a $30 and $70 Ikea chair for years before this and never had any problems.

thanks for the links , yeah i don't have any back problems yet but i've being using a computer since i was 13...who knows what down the line is gonna do, its just that i know now i'm spending a ton of time gaming now.




i100h elite came in today, Holy what a step up from the budget h60 i first used on the amd 1600x... the radiator is thicker with a braided hose and it has some nice weight to it......huge change

pretty happy i can use "Precision Boost 2" without worry about high temperatures of a crappy Wraith air-cooler...88 degrees doesn't sound normal at all :suspicious: esp when i'm gonna pull long hours.

Yup, price increases have come into effect already. Price for the 3080 TUF went up $70 at memory express and $40 at Best Buy. The 3080 Strix went up $50 at Best Buy.

I have an expensive gaming chair, terrible chair and required me to "customize" it by cutting sections out for it to properly fit me.

Wife has a Herman Miller, she got it as part of the Western Canadian Group Buy on RFD and is legit, she's had it for a month now and loves it. Pick up is in Burnaby.

The reviews seem to be pretty good.

This seems like a really bad idea, but I could be wrong. Definitely don't pull the trigger until you hear from an actual person who has had a good experience doing so. Reviews are absolutely meaningless.

Chairs are so subjective when it comes to comfort.
But the problem with gaming chairs is that the prices will always be inflated for the aesthetics.

I've been using a $50 London Drugs chair for 8 years at home, and was using a Herman Miller for 7 years at work. This is like a mix of 15+ hrs sitting in front of a computer combined daily. TBH, I didn't really feel any difference in terms of comfort. My body just doesn't seem to care or get fatigued from being at the desk. lol

That being said, my posture isn't great, and just having a $1000 chair won't automatically give you a better posture.

it depends on the chip. New CPU's I would not order but you can find some deals on older xenon CPUs and motherboards.

lol, entertaining videos. Although the full AliExpress build is kind of a poor representation other than for the sake of entertainment. I wouldn't recommend going full on with no name brands.. Any one component could have been the culprit. I was hoping he would have checked/tested the cpu spec though. Getting scammed by getting the wrong product or a lower spec product is one thing, but deliberately buying non reputable brand products is another thing. (And those in itself could be a hit or miss)

They're all around the same relative ball park. B550 and X570 boards for AMD are all similarly priced as their Intel ones nowadays.

With Intel, you can go B460 or Z490. B460 has overclocking (including RAM) locked, so you're limited to DDR4-2666MHZ ram on that i5-10400F. Z490 is the whole shebang. This is a bit different compared to AMD where overclocking is not locked depending on the chipset.

For me personally, I don't think the Z490 boards are that significantly more than the B460 and it comes with more features.

Both boards has great VRMs and the newer Intel AX200 WiFi 6 card built-in. AX200 cards by themselves are worth around $40-50. Only thing bad is that they're both mATX so if you have a full-sized case with a window, it might look a little weird.

How's the B450 mobo?
I actually had my eye on the B450 GAMING PRO CARBON MAX WiFI with a Ryzen 3600. I think I'm more set on the 3600 cause I like doing some photoshop and video editing as a hobby on the side.

Based on some tests I saw, the 10400F with 2666mhz vs 3200mhz seemed to be a diff of 10fps~. It seems significant enough that I probably wouldn't want to pair it with anything but a z490 for the faster RAM, but that combo might be more than I'm willing to spend.

I will be going ATX, with a glass case.

If you plan on buying a B450 to use with a 3xxx CPU, make sure the bios is updated to support the new CPUs, or can be updated without a CPU. I made that mistake and am stuck with a useless mobo FailFish
