Join it and then go to the #alerts-signup channel. Click on the emojis that correspond to the stock you want and the province you're in.

Then make sure you enable notifications for Discord and Windows, mute all the other channels and channel groups except for your device, and go check every time there's a Discord notification or ping sound.

In the #alerts-signup, I clicked those numbers on the bottom for the product I'm interested and it turned purple. Is that correct?

I went into my discord settings and "Enable Desktop Notifications". I heard a chime when I toggled that on.
Do I have to stay in the #british-columbia page to hear notifications or can I be viewing another area of that channel and still hear it?

You'll hear them anywhere and if notifications are working, you'll see a popup on the bottom right corner of your screen.

Just placed a yolo order for some Corsair custom loop parts. Gonna try my hand at quieting these RTX 3080s I have in my build for mining.

I use this discord links for mine. A lot of overpriced crap from newegg but it might be what you're looking for.

ended up copping a 3060 from ME, went on their site randomly to see if there was any and they had some 3060/70s that didnt have the OUT OF STOCK, so i clicked in them and they had a lots of stock 10+ in saskatchewan. i called and was about to put an order in for the 3070 FTW3 , but then i asked if they had the 3060 version and he said they also had it, so went with the 3060ti instead. they are shipping it to me! so if u guys check ME , i suggest calling whatever store has stock and asking if theyll ship it to BC

I have a fan hub with that can connect up to 10 fans. And the hub is powered by 1 sata connector.

If the hub has 10 slots, I assume it's safe to power 10 fans from just one sata connector?
All the fans are the same model and same brand that's sold with the fan hub.

Sata is ratted at 54 watts. Fans draw a couple of watts max. noctua says their fan is only .6 watts. So you are safe.

the Strix 3070 is insanely over-engineered for cooling let alone adding a fan underneath it, hah! you can add 2 but the front fan its already insanely windy pushing back, enough i feel it with my hand...no thanks,1 is good enough, esp with a 3 slot GPU.

How you liking your case? Looking to do a whole new build some time this year to replace my 13 year old rig and this is the case I'm looking at

Araaadi 02-01-2021 09:17 PM

Do you guys know how to fix the warning for "Base System Device"? I tried everything I could find, including updating drivers for processor, bios, and windows update.

for the $139.99 i paid from NewEgg its pretty amazing having duel tempered glass sides, it's held on magnetically firm, the box it came in was thick with foam so its strong enough to survive across country ONT to BC.. overall this feels premium to me.

the wire ports top & bottom near the motherboard are perfect.

complaints about the case - not having a dust filter comes at the cost of good cooling, so it would help having a air purifier in your room to help your components stay clean longer down the line in a couple of months..."my dust filters previously on the fractal design define mini c case were caked in dust & the micro dust still covered everything in my place"

the triple RBG fans it came with are amazingly strong, i put my hand inside and easily feels like a wind tunnel compared to the dust filtered case i had last time with 120mm fans, so your ram, motherboard is easily staying chilled

8/10 from me, way better than the expectations i had for a low cost case without spending $300+ on LIAN LI O11 Dynamic XL ,then secondly spending a boat load more money on fans ..No thanks.

Geezus now I'm looking at getting it too... I need to just come to this thread once a week or two lol

Fans are pretty expensive lol

Eyeing the corsair ll120 or ql120 for my build and fuck would need like 6 or 9 of them on top of the AIO

Leaning towards lian li UNI or the cooler master MF120 for cheaper rgb fans

I was gonna go with same case to save $ but I want the lian li o11

I've been buying RGB fans from a Chinese brand called EZDIY. No tax and sold on Amazon.

I'm not sure how much "better" are the big name brand fans, but those prices are way too steep for my pocket.

Razor Ramon HG 02-02-2021 01:12 PM

The 4000X is a pretty good bang for your buck case if you want something from Corsair. It comes with three SP120 RGB fans and an RGB controller, which by itself is like $100.

I'm using this case for my custom loop since I ordered the Corsair Hydro X components.

Looking to build something like this.

StylinRed 02-02-2021 01:15 PM

I just took apart my desktop to run a new powersupply into it

And everything works except my onboard usbs... They're dead.. My case usbs still work it's just the onboard

And they were working before I swapped my power supply blaaaaaahh

Any ideas? I checked to see if anything is loose, and nope, and everything else is working fine, so I've got no idea :/

Razor Ramon HG 02-02-2021 01:20 PM

Like the USB ports in the back? No reason they would stop working because you switched out a power supply.

Try clearing the CMOS and resetting the BIOS to default. Also see if any bootable USB devices are detectable in the BIOS as well. If that's the case, it might be an issue with your OS.

Worst case scenario, you buy a couple of USB 3.0 PCIe cards if your motherboard is out of warranty.

StylinRed 02-02-2021 02:39 PM

Ya the ones in the back, I've no idea why they'd stop :/

Gonna have to give it another looksee i guess, never thought of it being an OS issue, bleegh

AzNightmare 02-02-2021 03:37 PM

So on Jan 15, I ordered a Ryzen 3600 from AliExpress and it just arrived today.

It just comes in a box wrapped in packing foam.

Looks good so far, produced in the last week of December. Gives me confidence it's not used..

So what's the best way after I install it to determine if the specs are legit?

roastpuff 02-02-2021 03:40 PM

Run CPU-Z to check the CPU.

Seems legit?

What's a good app for monitoring cpu and gpu temps?

Araaadi 02-03-2021 12:10 PM

anyone want a GeForce EVGA RTX 3070 FTW? Got allocated one from M.E Vancouver but don't really want to spend that much, it was $1007.99 after tax. Willing to trade for 3060ti.
