The NH-D15 has a Chromax version now if you can find it in stock. The alternative is a be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4. Biggest problem with these kind of heatsinks is that you need low profile RAM like Corsair Vengeance LPX or it can sometimes interfere with RAM slots depending on the motherboard. |
Looking for an ultrawide monitor that is currently on sale LOL Currently using 2x S2716DG but would rather have a single or two ultrawides.... |
Thanks for all your help the new cooler and exhaust fan fixed it. Before and after temps playing COD underload. https://i.imgur.com/q1GAGDf.jpg https://i.imgur.com/6306Cbo.jpg Comparison side by side for size https://i.imgur.com/J02jLmH.jpg Before and after https://i.imgur.com/Pv3Kgul.jpg https://i.imgur.com/dCaYSUs.jpg |
Uh is it me or do you have the cooler blowing the wrong way? |
Quote:
Talking about rear caae fan or fan on cpu? My front case fans draw air in the rear case fan is blowing out. |

Even if the fan is facing the back you want it blowing against the heatsink towards the exhaust. A quick way to know which way the fan blows air is it will always blow from the open side towards the side with the x shaped brace |

Reverse the side the heatsink fan is on. That'll improve COD temps even more |

Fixed it, thank you for the heads up. Wasn't a lot of room on that side but I did get it on there. https://i.imgur.com/Ok1oG5b.jpg |

^ stupid i do have two PCIe cables packed in with corsair and apparently Seagate recommends separate duel PCIe to beefy GPU's had no issues of crashes or low fps but i get a fuzzy feeling I'm using both now. also 3090 Rtx users saying "what are you talking about i'm using a single cable and its fine" on reddit. |

It totally depends on the build of your PSU - sometimes the GPU PCI-E cables are fed from a single rail, sometimes from dual. FWIW I'm running a 3070 on a single cable and not having any issues with my Corsair RM750x |
It'll be fine with one cable. Much cleaner too SeemsGood |

Kinda on topic, kinda not. Almost done my desk setup. Just need a new PC and some cable management. This is my ongoing project for the last three months ish. 2x 28" 4K IPS monitors at Lenovo EPP on Black Friday for ~ $690 shipped (~ $300 per monitor) 1x Vari Dual Monitor Mount 1x Autonomous AI standing desk with Bamboo top. I figured if I was paying the money, I'd rather go with a nicer top than MDF. Autonomous AI build quality sucks btw. Had to drill new holes LOL 1x ThinkPad Bluetooth Keyboard. It arrived today. I'm slightly disappointed that the key travel, the trackpoint feel, and the left/scroll/right click buttons feel is not the same as my T460. But for the most part I like it. Build quality is very very good. Beats the Logitech K200 media keyboard I bought to use for watching shows in bed. God I hate that touchpoint and keyboard. Granted the ThinkPad keyboard is at least double the cost. Not for everyone, but my productivity is so high with this keyboard and 4K monitor setup. Side note, I didn't realize that CPUs and GPUs were so in demand. About a month ago, I found a 5600x for $420 in stock LOL. Didn't buy it cause I was like meh whatever. Fat regrets. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...1f2454baf3.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...c022a40f6d.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...b3aa693637.jpg |

Not sure if this is against the rules but I bought an extra GPU off BestBuy. Anyone in Vancouver interested? ASUS ROG Strix NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 24GB GDDR6X Video Card After taxes was $2,666. |

Does anyone know if their RGB RAM get hot/warm on idle? I bought these aftermarket RGB heatspreaders and plugged them in for about 10 mins without installing them on RAM yet, and they get decently hot to the touch, but only when the RGB lights are turned on. I'm wondering if RGB function actually generate more heat, kind of defeating the purpose of using them on RAM. Or it could just be that these aftermarket rgb spreader I bought aren't very good. |
