2,000 dollars before tax for aftermarket was stupid high for MSI/ASUS 3080 ti...that is 3090 prices that've i've seen in stock a number of times but knew that's waaay the fck too much.

OEM was $1600, a little more reasonable. but still quite high.

I am on 3070 Ti's queue, and have queued for 3080 Ti's. Likely looking to keep the 3070 Ti and will flip the 3080 Ti's.

Any idea why my case fans won't all turn on everytime I boot my pc?

Sometimes all fans turn on, sometimes they kinda spin up but stop

I even went into the bios to turn them all on to max, but they dont

Right now I have 4/5 fans running, all I've done is reboot it, and each time it's a different result

What case fans and motherboard? Are the fans three or four pins? How are they connected?

Sounds like a faulty fan controller on the motherboard causing not enough current to go to the fans, but I dunno.

They're noctua NF-A14 3000rpm's I've got 3 in the front, 1 in the rear, they're 4pin

Also have an 80mm noctua and 2 noctua af15s on the cpu heatsinks (these 3 fans run fine)

All are connected to the motherboard headers (mb has 9 fan headers)

MB is an Asus C621e Sage WS

PSU = corsair ax1600i

I tried the fans on another pc and they work fine

I'm leaning towards the MB too
The MB also has u.2 ports and they don't seem to work either

I bought it from amazon (sold n shipped by amazon) and they shipped it just in asus's retail box, no amazon box/packing bubbles
And so I imagine the mb got pretty beat up in transit, even the cpu covers were knocked off when I initially opened the box, no pins were bent, so i thought it would be good to go, but... :/

EVGA Elite Queue. I bought a 3070Ti and likely will get a 3080Ti within two weeks, deciding which one to flip...

What does your bios say? There should be some fan controllers within bios

If the fans work in another computer and you've tried playing around with both DC/PWM settings in the BIOS then it's probably the motherboard.

When the fans are running the bios will show their rpm and I can adjust speed settings, when they're not running the bios will say nothings plugged into those headers but I can adjust the speed for those headers

Fukn hell, will be such a pain u installing the mb, returning it, installing a replacement bleh

I queued for the 3070TI FT3 on 6/10/2021 9:17:57AM PT and still haven't received any notifications.

For the 3070 Ti FTW3, I got the following queue time luckily 08G-P5-3797-KL 6/10/2021 6:06:17 AM PT. So it was amongst the first drop on the first day. I believe there have been two more drops since and the queue has moved up to 6:19 or something.

I got on a 3070 Ti XC3 queue also, 08G-P5-3785-KL 6/15/2021 9:02:24 AM PT. It opened on 15 June at 9am pst and I am already placed ~#24 in the queue with that queue time.

Long story short, I'm trying to clone my existing drive, with the operating system, to a larger drive (both SSDs).

But before I do that, how do I remove the partitions on disk 1? If I try to create a new simple volume with the unallocated space using the wizard, when I specify the max remaining space, it gives me "There is not enough space available on the disk to complete this operation." Even if I created this new partition and assigned it to drive E, how can I combine drives D and E?

Argh I have computer problems... If I can't solve this myself, any suggestions where I can turn to?

Use something like Macrium Reflect to clone the existing partition. You'll want to merge the unallocated space and D: to have the largest amount of space for your new OS drive.

Yep, I installed Macrium already, and it looks pretty easy to use. I’m having issues merging the unallocated space to D... it won’t let me create a new volume with the full 111.29 GB.

IIRC it may have to do with the way it's formatted, did you use gpt vs mbr?
