Anyone got any hookups for a card around $600? |
So I ended up picking up RTX 3060 Ti FTW3 Ultra. (LHR version, as non LHR's are discontinued now) I'm not in a rush to sell so in the mean time, I'm going to post it online and see what bites. I notice people posting "proof of purchase is available" in their ads. Is that for warranty purposes? Like am I supposed to just give them my receipt? I'm not familiar with this process. Quote:

most is for warranty. i had friends that had to warranty their 3080s since the fans failed on them. it seems to be a common issue. all EVGA as well |
RMA's are a shit show right now. Send a 3080 on Sept 1st still have not received a replacement. Because they have no stock. Oct 18 they said they could reserve me a 3080 LHR but I don't want an LHR card. |
Looking to add some more storage to my pc, missed out on the WD deals on the last page and even at the normal pricing I can't find stock locally? Besides Memory Express and Canada computers is there more stores I am forgetting about? Is there brands/levels you would recommend? only being used to store large amounts of photos/videos, the new camera is filling them up faster than expected, looking at 10TB and up |

Talking about Mike, his website is absolute trash. |
Looking for some advice on whether if I should upgrade my 4670K to play Forza Horizon 5 LOOOOOL. However, I eventually want to build a new machine since I can't use my 2070S to its full capabilities  1) Wait for ddr5 to come out blahblahblah, and play on minimum/single monitor/1080p monitor 2) Wait for ddr5 to come out, buy an Xbox + FH5 LOL 3) Upgrade to a 6600K/etc, and then do a full build later What would you guys do? |
If you're going to upgrade, it isn't worth upgrading two generations to a 6600K. A value build of a 5600x or similar with your 2070S will be just fine. You won't need ddr5. |

Either you build a new system now (which is plenty fast enough) or you just buy an XSX. I'm building my cousin a new system as she's upgrading from an i3-2100/GTX 1050 and the parts list is below. Giving her my old GTX 970 for now since we couldn't find anything reasonable in stock. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/vhnw9N |

When Best Buy first started doing these drops, I was thinking of going there with a few coworkers since our office is in the area. We could grab a coffee, chill for a bit and then grab a card. I was actually able to swing by during a lunch break after one of the earlier drops and they still had some cards left. Now you hear how people are lining up as early as 6PM, how people don't actually line up and set up ghost chairs, how dozens of folks cut in line, people fighting over cards, etc. The amount of actual degenerates in these lines are just disgusting. |

I would stay away from mikes computer shop. They are closing there location in Hamilton and support chat is offline and they have no contact number for web orders except for email. They may be going belly up. I have a fully paid for pre order for a 3080. Might have to call the cc company to see what they can do. |
man..........got 12900K and mobo.... but .... i couldn't get DDR5 ram anywhere..... Anyone knows where i can get a pair of DDR5 ?? |
I went and got a DDR4 board for my i7-12700K. DDR5 available right now is barely faster than a decent DDR4 kit, is like 2-3x more expensive, and basically non-existent. I figured by the time decent DDR5 kits come out in two years, I'll be upgrading my CPU/MB anyways. |
https://www.techpowerup.com/review/c...x-16-gb/5.html Relevant article to compare how it stacks up with DDR4-3600 CL16, which is what I'm using in my system. |
