And about Mail-in-rebates.
Does the post office automatically "postmark" all mail?
Or is there something I have to do?
yes its all the same PCI-E slot. About the rebates, you have to print out the rebate form and attach the UPC barcode with it and mail it to the address of the rebate headquarters

yeah, I'm just wondering about the "postmark"
My concern is, say if mail got delayed, and once it goes to the rebate hq,
they won't know whether I sent the rebate before expiry date or not,
unless the Post Office marked a date on it.

Unless the Post Office does that with all their mail by default...

ur receipt will say when it was purchased. You have like 30 days to send in the rebate from the day it was purchased

ur rebate will consist of the rebate form, the upc barcode, and the receipt

no, not anymore

When the m4 was way cheaper than other SSDs, it was a good alternative. Now that others have come down in price, it doesn't stand up as well. This is due to how badly it slows down once the flash is in a steady state, especially write speeds.

All drives do this of course, but none as bad as the m4 that I have tested.

If you can get it for much less than an Intel or Kingston HyperX, then go for it. Otherwise I would recommend the others.

dont get any OCZ ssds as they recently filed for bankruptcy. I personally have a Intel SSD SataII, its not the fastest but its stable and solid. And Intel SSDs are quite expensive

Get a Kingston SSDs, they are fast and bang for your dollar.

Have they actually filed for bankruptcy? Even so I'd be happy to buy a cheap ssd from them if the price was right.

I bought the M4 SSD last week at $100. damn... Maybe I should have waited...
the Intel 330 was also $100 at the time. But everyone at the NCIX forums recommended to go with the M4.

People stick with what they're familiar with, especially on forums. Going to forums for advice instead of good hardware sites, you will often find that brand loyalty counts for more than anything. Try going into a Phanteks-friendly forum and saying that Noctua is better. You will get shit on, even if you are correct. Or even if it's something you can disagree on, people still shit on you for advising against their favourite brands.

m4 isn't a horrible drive, it's just not the best choice anymore, IMO. Intel 330 at $100 is killer. HyperX 3K is really good right now too, but it all depends on who has the lowest price at any given moment.

TLDR: There is no single answer to what SSD you should buy. It changes monthly, and even daily sometimes.

Kingston KHX1600C9D3B1K2/8GX 8GB Kit 2X4GB 1600MHz DDR3 240PIN DIMM Unbuff Hmp HyperX CL9

Are these RAM any good?
They are rated at 1.65V
So what's the difference between 1.65 vs 1.5?

Are these like factory overclocked RAM?

Should I buy these over 1.5V RAM?

1.5V RAM is just better for overclocking and more stable.

If you are using these RAMs with some other RAM, make sure they are in the same voltage
