Don't think so. What I do is use a wake on lan app on my phone to turn on my devices.

The Gigabyte software and the BIOS only list an overall CPU temp, not individual core temps like all the other programs do. So where are these core temps coming from?

Either way, 300GB is a lot to cover with an SSD. You're looking at getting a 512GB drive then.

IMO If you play a lot of the games frequently, get a big drive and put as many of them there as possible. If you only really play one at a time, a cache should be sufficient.

if you only play a handful of MP games keep that on SSD...then just keep one or two singleplayer game and delete them as you finish the campaigns...that's how most people manage games on SSD

You won't lose trim if you are on Z77 with an up to date BIOS and RST software

I thought you only need to install the latter to get ssd caching to work?

I was under the impression as long as your SSD FW is up-to-date and have AHCI enabled Win 7 will automatically enable TRIM

lol, it's really just one HUGE cpu cooler.
Just that the heatsinks cover everything...
kind of ridiculous, if you install everything first, and the cpu cooler last.

No fans for the ultimate silence I guess. Except there's still case fans and power supply fan so kinda a moot point.

For TRIM with RAID, the BIOS needs to have at least 11.5 (or is it 11.3? something like that) version of the Intel ROM.

You see it on this screen when you boot up:

That's an old version (10.6), so TRIM wouldn't work.

Edit: I should actually confirm this to make sure. I'm pretty sure the option rom has to be 11.x

If you want to get into details, you can read this article about positive vs negative air pressure inside your case.

Case Fans: Should You Worry About Positive Or Negative Pressure? : How To: Properly Plan And Pick Parts For An Air-Cooled PC, Part 2

Otherwise, it's not really a big deal, as long as your components are staying cool enough on idle/load.
There's really no reason to go crazy with the fans, cause it's a waste of money and it just makes your computer louder.

tie up cables to make sure theres good air flow throughout the case is better then cramming fans/dust into your case.. not to mention DUST FILTER!!!!

What soundcard are you guys running?

My old X-Fi XtremeGamer fatality blah blah blah is finally fried.

I'm thinking of getting a USB DAC but how are they for gaming in terms of spatial sound and sound quality?

The old X-Fi I had was amazing for both. I want anything ~$100 that has volume control on the unit itself so i can control volume from my desk.

Was thinking of getting this
http://www.amazon.com/FiiO-E10-USB-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B005VO7LG6/ref=sr_1_7?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1356913379&sr=1-7&keywords=USB+DAC
Will be paired with audio technica M50's most of the time

I have nothing against the FiiO E10, but I have been very tempted to pick up this Schiit combo since it was announced a few weeks ago:

Amp:
MAGNI - $99.00 : Schiit Audio, Headphone amps and DACs made in USA.

DAC:
MODI - $99.00 : Schiit Audio, Headphone amps and DACs made in USA.

Initial reviews have been very good, and it'll pair nicely with your M50 as well.
