Is there a big difference in price between .com and .ca?

I just used newegg to pricematch with NCIX. Worked so far (they basically gave me the price after shipping).

^^..paypal works for me..they'll ship as long as your paypal account is confirmed. My friend recently used V.me and worked for him..

^considering usually prices are about 10 to 15% cheaper plus no tax yes I'd say its worth it to buy from .com

Yeah, there's a bit of a whine coming from the pump, and the fans aren't all that silent. That cooler's probably the loudest thing in my rig, keeping in mind that everything else is cooled by large, low-rpm fans. It's my first "water-cooling" part though, so I don't have anything to compare to.

Any good deals on Windows 8 floating around recently? My computer is in need of a reformat so figure I might as well go for the switch too. Windows 7 deals would be appreciated too (I'm not running a legit copy)

Don't get too excited unless you haven't upgraded in a while. It will only be about 5% faster than Ivy Bridge (but with lower power consumption). If you have IVB or SB already, there's no need to jump on this one.

Unless you plan on upgrading anyway. In that case it will be worth waiting.

Planned to replace my old E7200 with IB i7 last year, but so many bad reviews are holding me back. I could play most of the games out there at decent quality with my wife's Intel G620 with HD6800, but video editing is slow, so it is about time to upgrade.

- New i7
- 16gb ram
- Next gen video card
- Raid0 Samsung 840pro (just for fun)

Bad reviews of IB i7...?

The SB/IB chips are fairly similar, and they're good processors - I don't get what you mean by bad reviews.

BTW, the GTX780 will be pretty much a GTX680, so don't expect much improvement there - same with the Radeon 8xxx series.

I placed an order for the 7850 for $89.99 from tigerdirect.ca this is the email I got:

We are contacting you to make you aware that we are declining acceptance of your above-referenced order due to an incorrectly advertised price on that item.

Since we don’t charge your credit card until we ship your order, no charges have nor will be placed on your credit card for the item that is being cancelled. Any authorization hold placed on a debit card will be automatically removed based on your bank's terms and conditions. If you used a prepaid payment method such as PayPal or Google, the payment processors will be automatically notified of the order cancellation and they will refund your payment according to their terms and conditions.

We regret any inconvenience this may have caused you.
