What are you wanting to trade for besides Noctuas? I have some Gelid Wing 12 fans if you're interested, good static pressure and quiet.

Looking at Noctua's NF-P12, as they are meant for more restrictive spaces such as heatsinks, rads, and HDD cages, but still move enough air to be used as case fans. The S12As are amazing fans, they just no longer work with my new case.

Don't have a fan controller at the moment, don't want them spinning at a constant 1500rpm

You guys have any good images or links as to how to setup airflow within a case? Feel like mine may be setup incorrectly
Also I think my ram is bad or partially bad..ever since I kinda jarred my heatsink by trying to force my side panel shut I've been having a hell of a time starting my computer, alot of just no signal displayed and my mem check light on my mobo stays on :/ Posted via RS Mobile |

As far as case airflow goes, the basics:
- more intake fans than exhaust = less dust
- hot air rises, so try to put intake fans lower and exhaust fans at the top
Other than that, it really depends on your setup.
For example, I have my Kuhler 620 setup as a rear intake for colder temps How to install the KUHLER H2O 620 CPU cooler. | The Official Antec® Blog

Pro-tip: no dust filter? Use dryer sheets. Also makes your computer smell good.

Normally the front ones are intake, the rears are output, Take care to note which way your CPU cooler fan(s) are flowing.

I would just make the front intake as well.
Since the vent are on the side, dont know how well it would push air out with the front cover blocking it.

Also, the Define series are meant for lower noise, which is why they come with Moduvent and extensive noise dampening, to take off all the Moduvents and put fans everywhere sort of doesn't justify the purchase of a Define Could've gotten an Arc Midi instead, or something with more airflow.
Also, unless you have a water cooling setup with a rad at the back, there is not point using the rear fan as intake. Taking off the side Moduvent is silly IMO as there is a bottom intake fan, as taking off the side Moduvent greatly increases noise.
Just my two cents.

| ME's Über Price Beat Guarantee
memoryexpress will beat any authorized Canadian retailer/etailer's price both online and in-store, we'll beat it by 25% of the difference, and if you find a better price within 7 days of purchase we'll beat that too!
There is a limit of 2 (two) Über Price Beats per item, per customer, however; if our Competitor's price is limited to only 1 (One) per customer then the limit for price beating that item will be 1 (One) per customer as well. Any items purchased over the Über Price Beat Limit will be sold at regular price.
So according to their site, as long as both ME and other company still has stock, ME will price beat any Canadian online retailer...

Just my two cents. | I agree with everything except sometimes it's good to have the rear as intake, and direct a tower air cooler blowing towards the front of the case, if you have top exhaust fans

It's best to have the rear and top as exhaust if you're using a larger air cooler as most HSF fans blow towards the rear.

my case sits under my desk, but id say the top rear and front fan positions take in about the same amount of "fresh"/cool air when its under my desk
