A system like that, you could build a mini ITX system.

J____ 06-17-2013 02:53 AM

i don't like mini itx =(

is the MSI FM2-A85XMA-E35 mobo decent or should I get a FM2-A85XA-G65 instead?
500w ps should be enough right?

SkinnyPupp 06-17-2013 04:19 AM

200-300w would be enough...

Btw why hate mini ITX? What's there to hate about having a tiny system?

i don't hate it, just so small to have on the floor for pc workstation. Great for connect to a tv. I don't know, just personal preference?

Sandisk Extreme SATA III SSD 240GB - $159.99

I might pick this up.. looks like an awesome deal.. how are the Sandisk drives?

This is a good, solid drive with the SandForce SF-2281 controller. It isn't a top notch performance drive (buy an OCZ Vector or the updated SanDisk Extreme II if you want that), but it is a respectable drive. And at $160 for 240GB, it is a very good deal.

I would save a bit and get the i5. That depends on your usage. Are you going utilize the i7? If not, get the i5 and get a SSD with the money saved

Antec 900 case or Fractal R4

I have seen the 900 in person and is pretty quiet with lots of air flow. From what I seen on the r4 has a lot of sound dampening but I dont know about air flow

Hondaracer 06-18-2013 05:50 PM

with a bunch of Noctua fans in my R4 i can maintain sub 22 deg on my processors at idle, never goes over about 55 when gaming etc

I want to say that one of the AD was misplaced.. it was floating ontop of another AD on the left side but it seems to be fixed

That's because I have a background that sits behind a 300x600 space, but sometimes google puts in an ad that is narrower... I suppose I should make the background narrower too huh... I thought for most people it would show a 300 wide. For me it's about 50% but that's in Japan

teddyah 06-19-2013 12:10 AM

R4.The build quality is so much better that it's not even funny. The 900 is old news now.

If you dont plan on going with multi-monitor setup, I would go with the evga SO 2gb version... the money you save from there, you can get a larger SSD drive or a better one..

I believe you can remove the sound dampening stuff to get even better airflow on the r4.. It also looks sexy

Definitely the R4. I own the R3 and I'm completely 120% satisfied with it. Lots of noise dampening with excellent airflow.

3klipze 06-19-2013 11:55 AM

R4 for sure. I want the case, there was a sale back last month for 79.99.

Dell daily deal for u2312m for 179.99 if anyone is looking. Best price for ulttasharp
