The only thing that makes me not think that is how much Saul obviously cares for and loves (in a non-romantic way) Carrie. He knew she would be there and was clearly distraught she couldn't be found after the incident.
It DOES make sense because Saul has an alibi as said before, was desperately trying to keep Brody alive (to frame him?), etc. From Saul's character throughout the seasons though, this wouldn't make a whole lot of sense. What would be the motive behind it?

Nothing to watch now, any suggestions?
Spoiler!
By that thinking, Saul did everything he could to get Carrie away from Brody, who theoretically can harm her by virtue of what he was deemed to be (a terrorist). That's most likely why he tried to spin her being station chief (playing her desire to be the best officer the CIA has had). Even if she had been there, it would've been easy to get her out with a phone call, or an escort, or some other means.
And I thought the same thing about Saul's character in the show (and his ability to pull something this bad off). He's done everything "right". But thinking back, he did everything with Carrie in mind. Perhaps a Saul "turn" is the real twist we were all waiting for this season.
As for new shows, I tried picking up Boardwalk Empire, and it's not my cup of tea. I think I'll just wait it out for TWD, and it's "only" 4 months until GoT
Edit: Friend sent this video. Don't watch if you don't want to know what happens.

LOL my thinking at the time really had no logic to it. It was just a gut feeling or perhaps a feeling of a twist I would like to see.
New shows, well this is usually the time of year where I start on shows that are older now but have yet to watch. I'll just fire some random ones off and if you haven't watched them it's a good time to start with so many shows having ended or going into xmas break.
Sons of Anarchy - Biker gangs, need I say more? 5 seasons so far I believe
Nikita - This show imo is actually surprisingly decent. With the main star being Maggie Q I know this can be a turn off for some or a turn on for some lol. I woldn't peg this show as EPIC but it's solid enough to watch. Currently on Season 3
Spartacus - Tits, violence, and a decent story line. What else can you ask for? 3 seasons so far with a 4th and final starting in a January I think.
OZ - Old HBO show and imo one of the best shows of all time. 6 seasons
Side note. Here's 6 things you need to know about the Season 2 finale. Also some potential spoilers for Season 3
Just finished season 2. Wow. I enjoyed season 2 MUCH More than season 1.
When I started season 1 I was afraid of them dragging on the whole "they get close to proving he's a terrorist but he finds a way out at the last second" type deal. Which would have been predictable and boring. So I'm glad they stopped all that early in season 2.
Season 1's only great scene was the finale. Season 2 was much more suspenseful.
I know they can't drag on the story about Brody for too long or it'll get stale but he was the main reason I started watching this show. The guy is a great actor and I enjoyed every tense scene with him in it. Season 3 will have a totally different look with him out of the picture.
In terms of shows to watch. Season 3 of Shameless is coming up soon!
Don't forget Saul also somewhat failed the first poligraph test asking if he was the one who passed the razor blade to the captured prisoner in season 1

not to be racist or anything but the fact that Saul is jewish and it is somewhat shown many times throughout the series that he is, maybe he is a Mossad agent in deep cover?
Sonick is a genius. I won't go into detail what's so great about his post. But it's damn good!

I'm gonna put this on the backburner starting this season
everytime Carie has her cry-face/manic episodes I just wanna rip my hair out...if only they had a different protagonist I'd be so much more into this show
Although the show doesn't officially come back until Sept 29, Season 3 Ep 1 was leaked already last night so if you can't wait, you can watch it first.

There's some unintended z though if you watch. For example there's liek 3 secs of someone looking out at the bomb site from last season, and all you see is a green screen and with the caption "Crater" lol.
You also get a glimpse as to what it's like for them to look at a green wall and pretend to see what they're seeing.
Not saying they're Oscar-winning actors, but it must be tough being stuck on a soundstage all day pretending to see things when in fact you're looking at green.
Been hooked. I burned through 2 seasons so fast it's not even funny. Now I'm on season 3 and waiting for new episodes sucks.
Peter Quinn is a fucking badass. I love Saul but he's a little shady. Dana and Carrie piss me off (glad I'm not the only one). Jessica is a hottie. Posted via RS Mobile
