| How to reduce/get rid of driver penalty points? ICBC | Reducing your Driver Penalty Point premium
The site speaks of eliminating/lowering the premium, but how do you get rid of the points itself...?

This confuses the shit out of me because the wording.
So if one year you have 6 points for example 2 speeding tickets
on your birthday it goes down by 3 points.
So if you get another speeding ticket you have 6 points agian
do you get butt raped by the premium again?
or does your record show 6 points

If you give up your driver's licence for one year from your birthday, your DPP premium can be eliminated.
If you give up your licence for at least 30 days during your "billing period," your DPP premium can be reduced.
so if you have lots of points, its better to turn in your DL... if you have 6points, according to ICBC calculations, handing over your license for 2 months should have your points gone...

Not when it is in dispute. However, if you're found guilty the points will be placed the day you are found guilt instead of when you are issued the ticket.
