where to get parts painted in "Neo Chrome"?

looking to get a few parts done in this finish
I asked a few car shops and body shops no body seems to know how or where to do it.
anybody on here know where I can get it done?

AVS_Racing 10-17-2011 06:40 PM

im pretty sure the part has to be shipped some where to the US cuz no one does it locally

Datsun 10-17-2011 06:42 PM

I'd say go look for a water transfer printing place to ship your parts out to. They can do titanium/neo chrome stuff along with the usual CF patterns.

check with a local chroming/plating shop. you wont need to send it to the states.

if you cant find anyone on the lower mainland, send it over to the island to a place called Victoria Plating. The can do neo chrome finishing.

Suprarz666 10-17-2011 07:59 PM

felixy69 did it on his fit i believe. I recall him saying that he sent it somewhere in Cali. Probably best to PM him.

kookoobird88 10-17-2011 10:45 PM

i found one place so far in the states, only thing is that it would take a couple weeks, and this is my DD, and i want to do my valve cover

originalhypa 10-18-2011 10:52 AM

Can you post the place?
I'd like to look into the process and price.

thanks!

Buy a used valve cover and send it over? Shouldnt be too hard to source one

invader 10-18-2011 02:14 PM

Any recommend a hydro graphics place to get parts covered?

kookoobird88 10-19-2011 10:40 AM

Super Dipper 10-19-2011 03:29 PM

friend is getting his cage and valve cover done in neo chrome locally. Ill post up pics once its done. again, as i mentioned, you dont need to send the parts to the states.

white rocket 10-19-2011 03:53 PM

kookoobird88 10-19-2011 03:54 PM

Yeah, I'm not sure why people are so quick to send their stuff to the states, especially if there is a place locally (somewhat) that can do it. Victoria will be a hell of a lot faster, and cheaper (shipping). Support your local shops! Assuming their work is decent, which is something I'm sure Supper Dipper can vouch for.

On a side note, that water transfer printing stuff is awesome. Very cool, and more unique than neo chrome (at least for a valve cover). Would also like to know if there are any local places that do this.

As much as I'd like to support local businesses, it would help if they actually advertised their services beyond super dipper's vague post.

Almost a full page of this thread, and we still don't know where to get this done locally.

Not that vague? It's not Lower Mainland local, but it's a lot closer than Cali

Victoria Plating

$550 for just my K20 valve cover
the proper neo chrome is a 8 step chroming process, it isn't spray paint

try them...but they out source the neo chroming, so could take even longer

i was given vague details buddy.

"hey man, it looks likes im gonna get my cage and valve cover done in neo chrome! Cant believe Vic Plating can do that finish locally!"

So by that deduction, i merely posted up that this shop on the island can complete this finish supposedly. I have yet to hear back if the parts got done yet. If in fact, the parts get done, ill gladly post up pics but if it ends up being a farce, then that sucks, and parts will continue to have to go to the states.

It would be really cool to find a shop locally that could do this. With plating being such a nasty process due to the chemicals, there are more plating shops closing, than new ones to replace them. It's only a matter of time before we'll have no choice but to send it elsewhere.

And that's sad.
