The Rock is still in great shape and didn't abuse his body to be entertaining to watch. Mick Foley on the other hand is too over weight and really not that great of a wrestler to begin with. Just like bringing back Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Brett Hart. They are has been's and really have no reason to make any appearance fighting on WWE.

I dunno abut that but he's in still wrestling after his "retirement" because he got married and divorced too many times - those support payments are costly.

The Rock is 39. Still in great shape, didnt have too many injuries in his short WWE career. The guy is a true talent. Even if he doesn't wrestle in a match, just by having him speak and do the peoples elbow is enough to ELECTRIFY the crowd.

I have to be honest, I haven't heard a RAW crowd as loud as that one night the rock made his first appearance on TV this year.

Mick Foley hasn't wrestled in years, and I don't think he plans to. I speculate a team rocky vs team foley for Survivor series.

who knows VinceMcMahon has dumb ideas as u said. The whole HHH/CMpunk thing was terrible. It had so much potential to be great.

I follow wrestling pretty closely, despite hardly watching it anymore. Vince has a few problems, the first being completely out of touch with culture. Second, he changes his mind literally every hour. Third, he uses the show just to amuse himself, even if it means shitty tv.

Bastista is tryin the MMA thing

Kurt Angle wants to wrestle at 2012Olympics. I dont think he;s gonna even make the cut. but best of luck for him. He turned his life around after painkillers and divorce

SkinnyPupp 10-21-2011 02:46 AM

Kurt Angle can barely walk, gets busted for DUI every other month, and had to cancel his main event match last Sunday. Yet he still insists he is training for the olympics :fuckthatshit: If you believe him :fulloffuck:

I'm still watchin raw every monday. Wrestling fan for life

SkinnyPupp 10-21-2011 07:33 AM

I watch too, but mostly it's just background noise. Most matches are too short to be good, and most angles are horribly written, and have no direction since everything gets changed by the hour. Mark Henry is the only good thing on WWE lately.

DanHibiki 10-22-2011 04:17 AM

I stopped watching wrestling around 2002/2003 and actually started to despise it. I didn't like how they emphasized girls and sex and shit so much. I'm fine with having woman in it and part of the storylines and looking all slutty and shit but sometimes I felt they go a little too far. I'm, not gay but I like to watch wrestling for wrestling like I watch hockey for hockey. If I wanna see girls I'll watch porn or go find some. Just the art of wrestling itself intrigues me.

But about the documentary, it was really hard to watch seeing Scott Hall all drugged up and actually trying to fight in a match. Can you imagine how awkward that must have been for the fans? It must have been pretty insulting for the wrestler he was fighting. Pretending to get his ass kicked by a slow, old, drugged up wrestler.

The promoter should be ashamed.

SkinnyPupp 10-22-2011 04:22 AM

Yeah lots of backlash went to that promoter, but keep in mind that Scott Hall is NOT the exception. Promoters are CONSTANTLY being screwed by these old wrestlers, who show up, and either cannot perform or hold out for more money. Many of them book several shows at once, with no intention of showing up whatsoever.

DanHibiki 10-22-2011 04:27 AM

Which documentary was it that had a segment on jake the snake? i remember he would be upstairs eating a burger and fries just before his match at some indie show.

that's sad to see some promotion allow him to do that. must be really bottom of the barrel organization...unless it's part of the story-line?
