The IS250 only has about 204 HP and 185lbs of torque, not exactly performance numbers but enough for city commute.
On the other hand the IS350 is fun to drive producing about 300 HP and 230 lbs of torque.
The IS350 is reliable and the build quality of the interior is nice. The leather on the seats still feel new and the there is barely anything rattling or shaking at high speeds.
Maintenance isn't overly expensive but its not exactly Honda or Acura pricing.
I've noticed the tires wear out pretty quickly, the back seat isn't very comfortable and insurance is pretty expensive.
Otherwise its a pretty sweet car.
I forgot to ask but are you planning to drive the vehicle all season?
Even with snow tires the IS350 is quite a handful in the snow. (especially with ANY incline/decline)
