New Wheels for winter, opinions on them? http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d9...n/IMG_0615.jpg Just bought these yesterday, but still have 2 weeks till my Pirelli winter tires arrive. I got a few dislikes and likes about the wheels from friends and I personally rate myself 8/10 liking these wheels. I still got some time to exchange these, but still a hard decision to make =s What do you guys think about them? I would appreciate some truthful comments, thanks! :) |
soso 6/10 i would say than again its winter watever |
Those are pretty good looking rims for winter. |
 |
the salt on the road might eat away at the polished finish... why not put on your stock ones for winter? i mean its just winter....lol |
Is the polished part clear coated? If so, return them. Salt will make its way into any small chip in paint, then spiderweb underneath. On painted rims we don't see this, yet when its just clear coat over polished metal it stands out like a sore thumb. If its not clear coated and just bare metal, salt will pit the metal and you'll be polishing them every season. Winter wheels, I think they're nice wheels as in for any season. Are they supposed to be reps of any wheels in particular? |
Take some photos of the wheels on the whole car... Different angles... |
http://i601.photobucket.com/albums/t...oto/BENZ-1.jpg This is my other choice if I exchange them.. they re the same as BMW CSL. It be interesting to see them on a c63. And... the reason I m getting a new rim is because I don't want the salt to ruin my current 19" 16 spokes lols, they're more precious to me ahaha |

There's tons of pictures of this type of wheel on W204s, and they look way better than the wheels you've picked: http://www.vossenwheels.com/Gallery/...VVSCV2_1d5.jpg http://www.vossenwheels.com/gallery/...1010154579.jpg http://i578.photobucket.com/albums/s...B_V710_20s.jpg |

Also I need a style that will look good in 18", my dealership say my 19" are too big for winter tires, it will be better with 18s, I think less spokes look better in smaller rims? :s |

I assume you're going to get replicas of these, especially for winter use? |
c63 your daily driver? maybe get a beater for winter ? |
Lol, for some of us we only have space for 1 car. It's cheaper to modify that car than to get another car just for winter. Posted via RS Mobile |

Imo the TSW Nurburgring with a bit of concave would look awesome on your car, kinda expensive though if you buy locally, they are pretty damn light though |

I photoshop'd the rims on to my car, what do you guys think? |
that rims have CAMBERS, yo. Are those rims for WINTER use only? I would rate it 6 out of 10. |
For winter use they're fine, but like already mentioned the polished finish will probably look like ass after one bad season. So if you dont mind that, those are pretty nice winter wheels |
Not a big fan of them but it looks pretty nice as winter wheels |
