Discussion on how to keep your car shining bright and make them heads turn..
No tutorial needed. Just turn it on, crank it up, and have at it. Practically impossible to F up. I went in with no prior experience and had great results on my Miata with shitty oxidized paint.
Try Meguiars Ultimate Compound and Ultimate Polish, they're like the consumer version of M105/205 and are readily available at Canadian Tire. Good products to start out with.
Hey, we have cutting pads in stock. There is a reduction on the website for them but we have 5.5" thick cutting pads as well as our new thinner pads which I would recommend for your DA specifically. They lower the vertical friction allowing more free spin which is important with a DA.
It's here! Gotta look for the meguiars m105 and m205, any other alternatives to these products?
The consumer line up of Meguiar's is more noob friendly. It's super easy to use and I haven't had to use anything more than Ultimate compound for swirl correction.
DId a 1 stage polish & Cquartz on this hawk eye STI. The paint was originally embedded with tar and dirt due to the soft compound of the tracking tyres.
Furthermore, this vehicle had been washed numerously by the speedy hand wash places, therefore it was filled with lots of swirls.
A 1 stage polish was conducted to remove paint defects such as oxidized paint and up to 70% of swirls were removed.
After that, the paint was enhanced with Cquartz ceramic coating to further the wettness effect of the vehicle.
Lastly, all of the windows are polished & cleaned.
Weirdest thing, but do you guys know how to get rid of streaking INSIDE the window? On both the driver and passenger sides there are these streak marks that look like water is running down, but I can't seem to wipe it down. I've tried window cleaner, clay and polish as well and nothing seems to be working. It looks so bad!
I'm thinking maybe it's hard water stain/etching? Usually that's some sort of calcium deposit. Maybe try a vinegar solution to eat away the calcium? Or even CLR? (though I'd be careful with that stuff and try not to get it on anywhere other than the glass)
Just got a new set of wheels and debating if I should have them protected. Have heard good things about opticoat, can any one chime in on this or recommend where to go?

Congrats on the new set of wheels! I personally suggest protecting them for the long run with a coating. What finish do your wheels have?
