Been invited to detail a friend's Audi A5 today. The vehicle was filled with swirls as it was washed improperly at the speedy hand wash places. Also, the rims were caked with layers of stubborn brake dust.

To make thing worse, rain water was flowing backward to the underground parking where we were detailing vehicles. Therefore there were not much pictures taken as we were in a hurry to remove our power cords and equipment due to flooding .

Enjoy!

Amazon.ca: foam cannon
Off topic questions:

1) Will any car wash soap work with this?
2) What kind of cannon would I use if I had a pressure washer? (My dad has a pressure washer).

thanks,

yes, any car soap will work with that.

Pressure washer will require a different one as this one is designed to use with your home water tap with low water pressure. You need Snow Foam Lance for pressure washer.

hope that helps

SITUATION : Was invited by a client to conduct a 1 stage polish on his 2002 WRX bug eye. The vehicle was filled with severe swirls and oxidized paint.

Action: The vehicle was foam cannoned to remove loose dirt. After that, the vehicle was hand washed with 2 buckets method. The vehicle was then clay clothed to remove embedded dirt on the paint.

A 1 stage polish was conducted to remove paint imperfection. Choices of solution is Meguiar 105 with 205 at some problem area.

After that, the vehicle was protected with Mothers Synthetic Wax and all plastic trims were rejuventiated.

The wheels were washed and cleaned to remove stubborn brake dust.

Wow, besides the usual rock chips from wear and tear, that car looks great!

How did you clean the door jams and the trunk lid area? I always seem to have trouble with those areas.

Thanks . Unfortunately owner did not have a touch up pen available, so the rock chips are just protected with layers of wax.

Door jams and trunk lid are cleaned with detailing brushes with car wash shampoo. Then I wiped them clean with quick detailer.

Easy steps with great visual improvement . Thanks for the "like" =)

A round horsehair brush from a place like Rona and some Simple Green will make short work of dirty jambs.

A good friend of mine is getting marry today and we did a Wash n Wax on his wedding vehicle yesterday - 2008 Bentley continental GT.

The vehilce was in a good condition except there were bird poop with random swirls here and there all over the vehicle.

Due to the time constraints , the vehicle was foam cannoned to remove loose dirt. After that, it was clay clothed with fine grade material and then the vehicle was topped with with Poorboys Black Hole to cover up the swirls & enhanced the shine with Chemical Guys Wet Mirror glaze.

There is nothing much else I can help my friend except shining up his vehicle and wishing him goodludck with his married life =)

Enjoy.

Combo of the day

before application, swirls on the hood

after application, 90% of swirls were hidden

Did a 1 stage polish on this neglected 06 civic Si. The paint was heavily oxidized and filled with scratches.

Meguair 105 was used to polish the paint and Poor Boys sealant was used to enhance / protect the appearance for the upcoming winter.
