Is that what used to be called Super Intensive Polish? I still have a bottle of that stuff too. Didn't like it only because it was super dusty but I thought it did a pretty good job. I just thought with it being fairly aggressive, I always went a second round with something like Optimum Polish to clean it up it a bit. Didn't want to throw on the LSP and then see a bunch of holograms in the sun afterwards.

I guess I'll just stick with the 105/205 combo for now until I finish off the bottle.

Dont want to make a new thread, and i guess my question applies to this one...

Anyone know anywhere i can buy a foam cannon/gun locally that can be used with a garden hose?

Looking for something similar to this one in the link.
Would rather buy local than order online due to exchange rate.

I use Poorboy's SSR2 with a white pad and get pretty solid results. That said, I'd like to find something a bit weaker to use with a white pad - want to minimize the wear on the clear coat.

BTW: Does anyone have a recommendation for a cheap but decent paint thickness gauge?

thanks,

As long as the combo works for you, stick with it =)
I have a collection of different chemical because I work on a variety of vehicles , so I need to try out different solution and pick the one that works for me.

Everything Car Care in Coquitlam has the ones that hook up to the pressure washer but not the garden hose... I have the Gilmour foam gun (garden hose) and bought it off Amazon a while ago. I recall Lee Valley carrying Gilmour stuff so maybe they would be able to order one in for you. If not Amazon Canada has them. http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B000...PJG3HF5Y76TJ8Y

It's different from SIP. I have never gotten any dust with FG400.

I forgot about Adam's foam gun. I've heard really good things about it. There also happens to be a Adams rep here in Vancouver. If I recall it was quite expensive here... like $120+...

Did a Wash & Wax + ceramic coat on our pilot project - Fiat Abarth dedicated for Auto X events

A 1 stage polish was conducted previously to correct some paint imperfection on the Abarth. For this time, I am bored with using Cquartz or Opti Coat products , therefore I have used another brand called CAMUI from Japan.

CAMUI stands for the " garment of god " as it claims that it provides a high level of water repellency when it is compared to other coating.

Thanks Jordan ,

This coating has a longer cure time in comparison to the major brands such as Cquartz & O.C.

However it is only rated as 8H hardness as per manufacturer . I layered 2 x coats of CAMUI X4 today on top of the Cquartz which was installed last year.

Will keep you guys updated about the water repellent ability once is it cured properly.

Here is a review after the ceramic coating - Camui being applied to my vehicle 10 days ago.

The tight pattern of water beading is expected , just like the other ceramic coating.
The shine of the vehicle remains the same and water slides off the car very easily, leaving no water mark on the paint after the vehicle is parked in the garage for a night.

Front and Rear windshields are coated as well and wipers are not required during slight to moderate rainfall as the water will just slide off the windshield. (* not recommend by manufacturer due to liability issue )

Will monitor the durability of the coating on this vehicle.

Did a Wash & Wax package on this 04 WRX STI today and restored the shine of this vehicle successfully.

The choice of LSP are Poorboys sealant layered with Zymol CONCOURS glaze (47% carnauba) which provides better protection from the outdoor elements and paint corrosion.

Once again, no job is done until tyres are dressed , rims are waxed and exhaust is polished.

Enjoy !

Did a 1 stage polish on this 2015 VW TSI and further protected the vehicle with Cquartz.
No job is done until windows are polished, rims are waxed & tyres are dressed.

It had been another successfully day as we performed a light polish on this brand new 2015 e55 and further protected it with Cquartz ceramic coating.

The vehicle was originally foam cannoned and hand washed. After that, it was clay clothed to remove embedded dirt and a light spot polish was performed to remove an obvious scratch on the paint.

The vehicle was then wiped down with IPA and Cquartz was applied to enhance the wetness appearance of this vehicle.

Enjoy

No , I have not yet been able to get it yet and I have heard good things about it . Apparently It has filler to cover the swirls and it serves as a semi permanent coating at the same time.

I will wait and see some feedback from other users first. Gona stick to my Cquartz & other coating for now lol.

It is an AIO but I'd personally use it more as a primer. Similar to Modesta. It would save the risk of marring or scatching from an IPA or eraser wipe down.
