Well just got back late last night, my body is trashed lol ...
LOL everyone that said they were glad they didn't go are just super jelly ... yes Saturday night was a wash ... I was so stoked for Avicii & Tiesto but they stopped it at Calvin Harris ... BUT Sunday was freakin' EPIC!... I didn't check the Twitter updates so I was super shocked when ARMIN came out during Tritonal's set! When his signature backdrop of the buildings came out, the CircuitGrounds stage crowd EXPLODED!... I got goosebumps just thinking about it! He played for a good full hour+ then ATB came out back-to-back with Dash Berlin pulling off the craziest set I've ever heard, was truly amazing! The fireworks show and the flame tower synchronized perfectly too! It was awesome all around! What a mindblowing experience!
Couple notes off the top of my head:
- KineticField's sound system was pretty crappy for a "main stage" ... Stage C was WAY better. I pretty much stayed at ASOT Circuit grounds most of the time.
- The traffic getting into EDC was horrible and unorganized, they should have just let the cars in like 10 at a time for each lane instead of forcing 3 lanes to merge into one at the last minute ... causing 2 hour long delays.
- The security patdown guys are so clueless... it was totally random depending on which person you get, you could either get ALL your shit tossed (chapstick, gum, bracelets) OR they don't care at all and you could walk in with everything!... also if they knew the girls line-up was gonna take 5x longer then the guys then they should have made more girl-only lines!... there was a moshpit of dudes at the gate waiting for their female friends to get in which takes like another 30 minutes ... pretty lame.
- LOTS of beautiful people there, guys and girls, smoking hot chicks, some wearing pretty much nothing (they put a sticker on their nips)
- Everyone was SUPER friendly, super chill, not like the stuck-up Vancouver club crowd that would threaten you for even looking at them. I accidentally kicked this 6-feet tall black guy that was super ripped, thought he was gonna knock me out but he turned around and smiled then asked me how my night was then offered me weed LOL! Great vibe all around and everyone was happy and enjoying themselves! Made a bunch of friends from Australia, England, Arizona, etc...
Saturday ending early might have been a blessing in disguise for me cuz I had to get up early for Avicii & Gareth on Sunday morning at Marquee Dayclub and I was more rested, then I went to Guetta and Afrojack (they also had a killer set, it was awesome) on Monday at Encore Beach Club but I didn't get there till much later cuz I was pretty tired after a full night at EDC on Sunday lol.
For those who stayed on Saturday night after they told everyone it shut down. Markus played at one of the smaller stands in front of CosmicMeadow (B). Followed by Steve Aoki till about 5:00AM. Given the circumstances it was still a pretty good show on Saturday if you stayed.
I was just wondering for anyone who bought the 3 day pass to EDC. Some one told me to email flavorus to get a refund from them for saturday night since me and my friends weren't able to get in on saturday because of the wind storms. Does anyone have any info on this ?

I think the only offer flavorus was honouring was that if you bought a 1-day pass for Saturday, you would be able to get in with the same ticket on Sunday. They aren't giving up refunds because they didn't "cancel" the event... but I guess you can try.

+1 people are X times friendlier down south. bump into people they apologize to you and everything. if they're driving, that's a whole other story LOL people who were driving in vegas are aggressive. not like in europe but man they make drivers here look like pussies.
The main stage sound system was good. You just didn't get close enough LOL
look at the pic
hmm... I was pretty darn close to the front already and the bass was still pretty weak, off to the right of the stage ... there was like 10 of us and we "trained" our way through lol ... did you check out the CircuitGrounds - Stage C?... THAT was good sound, surround sound speakers all around and above!... maybe it was cuz I spent most of the night there then went over to KineticField which was kind of like comparing wine to water ...
