Q-DANCE FOR EDC !

Hey everyone,

For those that went to EDC last year or have been to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, is there cell phone reception there? I've read that the cell service there isn't great or non-existant, but it doesn't seem that far from the mainland.

I was trying to figure out a way that our whole crew could communicate with each other and if there is cell service at EDC then we'll just buy some prepaid sim cards. We did this in New York and it worked great. $30 prepaid lasted us a week in new york.

I was thinking of walkie talkies, but I think texting would be better, any ideas?

It is very very poor, took bbm msgs 4 hrs to get through. Not sure about this year. Hopefully they put some towers up for reception because you are in middle of nowhere

yea i'm gonna have to get a prepaid card too. or some US data package.
Also shitty thing is we have to bring our passports, as we're not america citizens, and the credit card that was used to buy the tickets. fuck. more stuff to after and can't get super wasted.

Tickets BOUGHT! I got them at 12:03pm :fuckyea:
Gonna be there for Saturday and Sunday! It would have been cheaper if I bought the 3-day pass from the first batch at $215 but I wasn't sure if I was even going yet at the time.

Single Day Tickets: $115 + $11 fee = $126 x 2 so $252 for both days.
3 Day Pass now: $275 + $24 fee = $299

Saved $47, not bad I suppose since I can't make it on Friday anyway.

I heard these Single Day tickets are VERY limited, they won't even be selling them next year! I wonder how long until these sell out?

FYI: Friday & Saturday passes are sold out already!

I got an email after buying single day tickets saying that for international orders we'd have to pick them up at the will call, guess we should cal for a refund on the shipping fees? :s

Also, I'm curious to know how everyone is getting to and from EDC? I heard horror stories about the Shuttle service. There's only 2 of us heading down on one of the days, should we rent a car?
