From amateurs to professionals, where are you at? What's your story?
For me, I enjoy freestyling', it's fun.. but "am I good?" is a different story. LOL. Still I find myself really enjoying a good instrumental beat and dropping a few verses to entertain myself :P
Most freestyle rappers seem to come from rap battling, then crossover to mainstream. Some examples are Eminem, Jin tha MC, D-Pryde.. anyhow here's some entertaining vids:
Dumbfounded vs Tantrum. Asian vs. Asian rap battle.
From what I've seen freestyling isn't really freestyling at all. I mean in a general sense yes but most rappers who are really good continuously write lines and rhymes and build up a huge bank of lyrics they can draw from Eminem used to write shit down all day. So in the end yea your freestyling over a different beat but you really are reciting pre-made disses and jokes and lines and shit.
When you fuckers lose your virginity, you will learn to appreciate the beauty of natural women. For now, stick to your magazines and porns where all the bitches are shaved to keep the crabs under control ;)

Yeah pretty much it takes practice. Eventually you build a "bank" of rhymes and lines. So yeah for sure, freestyle is in a way "pre-thought" out.
Still, freestyling is definitely hard. Just try it. Run an instrumental in the background and see how long you go. Then add layers like freestyle battling (with or without beats).
That video of Wax was awesome though. He's got flow and he just hammers out line after line for like 4 minutes!
Here's some fav's of Eminem showcasin' his true talent. Like Wax, he's got flow and lines..
