hence the valve core. it does no damage unless they are stupid enough to drive on flat tires. and even then i don't think comprehensive would cover it. lol
people like those don't have the balls....thinking they owned the streets where they drive like SHIIT!!!!!! they make the car do all the talking for them!!!
Although the guy in the G35 is clearly a douche, selective editing is one reason I'm against dash cams in general. The video starts with the G35 accelerating from the right and giving the OP the finger. One wonders if there was an earlier incident triggering the road rage that was not shown on film.

theres a car parked in the right lane the g35 was trying to get in the left lane instead of slowing down and switching lanes, because race car, he cuts Redlines off
if anything maybe the g35 got spooked when Redlines pulled slightly to the right to get around that SUV turning left at the very start and so decided to act like a douche
Excuse I have never vandalized someones car to for a stupid move they have made or minor major offenses it's called carma and it will get them eventually cutting valve stems and toying with them could posibly kill that driver or put them in hospital

call me weird but my dash cam has grown on me a bit and I wouldn't feel at ease driving without it now.
I'd like to think most people on the board are good examples of law-abiding citizens that respect the road and the laws that are placed, and not a bunch of reckless wankers.
What you're actually looking for is to see if the person(s) behind the wheel filming has good character & driving etiquette, and not some punk who gets "butt-hurt" over a small incident to create a shit storm of rage with some random ass-hat on a road that belongs to neither party, then trying to win people over with an edited clip on the interwebz. I hope this is the real reason you're against dash cams.

+1 even though the G35 driver was exceptionally douchey had you not chased the guy down/get all butthurt over it the situation it wouldn't have escalated like that. If someone truly is a dangerous driver they will get what's coming to them in one way or another, chasing them down/arguing or vandalizing their car will get you nowhere and doesn't make the roads safer for anyone.
Perhaps I have a European attitude toward privacy but I find driving around with a dash cam to be creepy and intrusive. You wouldn't walk around life holding a camera or record every conversation you have, so why is it ok to drive around filming everything?

^because you aren't likely to have to prove your case to ICBC if another pedestrian walks into you. My cam has already proved invaluable, a woman backed into the front of my car...ICBC said had I not recorded it, I would have been at fault for rear-ending her. I also caught an accident on cam that helped ICBC side against a red light runner. I'll be putting cams in all my cars from now on.

Insurance purposes. Having a dash cam has already come in very handy once, and I imagine it hasn't outlived it's usefulness yet. Creepy or not, in Canada, you're allowed to legally record anything/anyone out on public streets without their consent. Besides, I'm not sure Europeans are as concerned about their privacy as you say... I have plenty of family across the pond and the majority of them and their friends all drive with a form of dash cam in their vehicles. Besides, it's not like these people take the footage and jerk off to 'em. It's virtually all there for insurance purposes. After a few hours of footage, it all gets overwritten anyway.
