Amp light flashing

Recently my Subs stopped working. Im running a Kenwood KRC-S305 deck with an alpine 3550 duo circuit amp. Last time I jumped in my car I had no subs. My amp light is flashing green (Older kind doesnt turn red when theres a problem). Ive tried 2 other older amps which also flashed and a newer amp which just didnt work. Ive also tried another deck and same thiing. My battery is starting to go, and lately Ive had to keep the batt charger on it. Could this be the reason? TIA

Seeing as you tried 3 amps total and none of them are working I am guessing either ground wire or wrong impedance setup with your voice coils + subs

Can your car even start without a jumpstart ?

Sounds like it could be a bad connection, double check the ground, and remote wire

My guess is you could also have a sub with a shorted VC, does the amp flash with the sub wires disconnected ?

Does still flash with the subs disconected. No it wont start without my batt charger or a jump if I leave it overnight. I was thinking it might have somethine to do with the bad battery

You sure you wired everything right?

Sounds to me like you tapped the power for your amp from straight POWER. and not from the ACC power.. Thus why your battery is dying overnight because the amp is still using power. Might want to check into that?? =|

Everything worked perfectly up untill last weekend. I think it has something to do with the battery. Guess its time to save up my lunch money...

Costco has the cheapest batteries around. I was there a month a go and the price for a group 65 battery was about $90, about the same as in Bellingham. Back in the summer, the same battery was about $130. They might have been on sale. Lordco and NAPA sells the same size battery for $150.
