Are you specifically looking to stay in Caye Caulker?

Just a heads up Caye Caulker is tiny. You basically just go there to do nothing and chill, maybe take a day trip snorkeling or fishing. I was going to go there last spring but ended up going around Hawaii for budgetary reasons.

A friend of a friend runs a rental company there and I'm told he's a totally stand up guy. Here's a few links I saved from my research. Don't forget to read up on tripadvisor.

Bumping old thread...I'm planning on going to Belize next month. Any suggestions on things to do/hotel to stay? I definitely want to do the caves, mayan ruins, and visit the blue hole. Any concerns with safety? Some of the websites I've read caution that violent crimes are not uncommon...

I just got back from Belize.

I went to Caye Calker. What do you want to know.

Here are a few things
1) pick one that has air condition
2) bring US cash
3) there are asian stores, all corner stories are asian
4) a ferry (45 min) gets to to san pedro (bigger population and party and has a downtown)
5) super SUPER safe. It's an island, no one is going ot steal your shit.

I stayed at Tom's hotel it was shit, no air con.

THE restaurant to go to is Habernos. The dude used to be some high end chef, left and went opening his own place FUCKING amazing.

BLUE hole is all hype.. don't fall for it unless you're advance scuba diver. I'm a scuba instructor, if you want more info, let me know and I'll show you some videos of scuba there.
