| Used car value book?
Sorry for the ignorance but I kind of remember there being a book that tells you what a used car is worth. My dad is wondering and told me ICBC has some gold book or something? I did some quick searches on ICBC or just in general but keep getting tons of bunk results. Any help?
Thanks in advance

maybe there is a better way but here is what i use. i put in my vehicle info in here and then anything under the prospect vehicle... email address and the value will be emailed to you. frankly if its to asses value for ICBC then i would go with what was already said and use craigslist, buysell etc as a guage. Gold book is not quite accurate. It is pretty much just used by autoplan brokers to help determine if someone paid +/- market value for the vehicle and for tax purposes. Correct me if I'm wrong though...

Red book, blue book, black book, gold book. No, it's not a Dr Seuss nursery rhyme..
Blue is the "Kelley Blue Book" but it's not issued for Canadian cities.. which is a shame because it's a great reference source.
Red is the "Canadian Red Book" and it lists a range of values, including wholesale and retail pricing, and is a principal valuator used by Canadian Banks.
Black is the "Canadian Black Book" which also lists wholesale and retail prices and is commonly used by car dealers as their basis of valuation. Both are good reference sources.
Gold book is solely used to evaluate Collector Cars and isn't used for most of the cars anyone on RS will ever own.

You can use Canadian Black Book Car Values, New & Used Cars, Prices, Reviews & Research as a reference source. However, it's just a guide. There are other factors that may affect how much your car is worth, which blackbook doesn't take into consideration, but a sales manager or potential buyer may - like colors and mechanical condition (is the car about to need a $3000 service? is it bright green or pink in color?)
