I'll venture a guess.
ICBC write-off with a sketchy rebuild, very few people in the market for an E46 M3 would be willing to touch a car with a history like that, and now the dealer is having a difficult time moving the car.

i pretty sure this is a friend's friend's car. the car was traded in recently cause the transmission wouldnt shift anymore, something along the lines of smg solenoid + related parts, the cost was a few grand so he just traded it in.

I'll save you the time... STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!
Went there just last week to look at a tsx with a friend. If the prices are too good to be true then it probably is. The car we looked at had vibration in the steering; rust under the doors, in the engine bay, in the trunk under the spare tire; ebrake light always on; VSA light always on; cigarette burns on the leather seats; etc etc I'm sure I missed something.

Last car I had a look at there must have been running 90w gear oil in the engine.....shady shady place.....price reflects what you would be getting...$14k for this car and another 8-10k to make it a nice car again.

my friend works at that dealership and none of these cars are rebuilt, however, their sketch asshole of a manager tear aparts the car and replace em with china built parts lol, these cars are abused, and will always have problems, but its fixable. hence the cheap price...
