Stupid of me trying to train legs with 3 hours of sleep. Hips are now hurting during squats. Did 3 reps of 275lb and had to cut the workout, because any leg exercises hurt except the isolation exercises.
It's like one issue after another. First my lower back, now my hips (can't deadlift or squat comfortably).
completed 10x3 of 190lb bench of day 8 of smolov last week, but failed for the first time on 6x6 of 165lb on the last couple sets...... im 90% sure it's because I let a guy work in (gym was fuckin packed) and took much shorter breaks than i normally would have.. my focus just wasnt there, next workout will be better
man how the fuck do you guys bench so much weight? going to bench twice a week now..
More like how do you guys squat so much

at what point should i consider using a lifting belt?
your choice, for now i'd say hold back
i cant tell you exactly when to use one because i don't know what your form looks like, how developed your muscles are, etc
it's something you have to decide for yourself because you know your limits and your body best
belts are optional, i know lots of strong as fuck people whose never used one before
i personally started using one when i hit 2x bw 1rm on squats and 2.5x on dl
You and I are on the same page, don't worry, it gets better! How long have you been working out for?
My shoulders are very weak, I have been a bit delinquent in training them and am starting to focus on them. I started out at only 15lbs for shoulder presses to be able to get my goal of 3 sets of 10. I am now up to 25 but the last few reps are absolutely brutal.
Just keep on going and try and find a buddy to work out with - it really helps with the motivation early on. I found that since I wasn't impressed with my numbers, the only thing that kept me pumped was competing with my equally weak buddy

This is very subjective. I always belt up on squat/deadlift once I start working above 80% of my max for instance. There is no right answer I'm afraid.
