can you guys recommend a new program for me? Need something a bit more structured. Want to train mostly for hypertrophy but after seeing pics of red_sir and fcukedd, im definitely considering a more strength based program...
I'm not trying to start the flame war again but just because one has more knowledge does not mean everything they know is valid. So many of my profs have different beliefs about different training methods and some even come contradict. My physiology prof has said steady state cardio prevails over HIIT style training for far burning and another one of my profs who is a well known strength and conditioning coach said the exact opposite. My point is,don't always believe what you read in books. Give advice based on your own experiences. Posted via RS Mobile

Hard to say, fcukedd and I have been training for around the same amnt of time and hav very similar bodys but he's been training strength based while I train for hypertrophy/high reps and progressive overload at a slower pace (his lifts are much higher than mine) so I think it doesn't really matter whether you do strength based or hypertrophy based as long as you have a good diet to gain muscle/weight, or you could get the best of both worlds and try PHAT (power/hypertrophy) routine , I haven't tried it myself but heard a lot of good things about it Posted via RS Mobile

for anyone who wants a cheap pre/intra workout, buy those gatorade powders that you mix in water, it ends up being around 10-15$ for a month and it works pretty well
Alright so I don't usually post vids but here it is...225x15 (wish I could've pushed out more) I'm @ 175lbs. Sorry for the crappy view, no one was able to hold the phone for me.
anyone here not use supplements?
i used protein before but never liked the taste and the cost
i have creatine though, but i haven't touched it in awhile
nothing against creatine though, $30 lasts almost a year :P

The only supplements I ever took were protein (BCAAs included), creatine and fish oils. I stopped using all the supplements about a month ago, even creatine. I hated that once you get off creatine, you lose up to 10% of your strength, so now I just train without it. Even fish oils, I just try to eat more sushi, lol.
To be honest (and it is just my opinion), nothing works better than eating plenty, sleeping plenty (8 hrs +) and foam rolling/stretching once you feel sore...

There are no principles, there are only events. There is no good and bad, there are only circumstances. The superior espouses events and circumstances in order to guide them.

The only reason I use protein is because I'm not able to cook enough solids with high enough protein for certain meals of the day.
Other than that, I personally don't see the need for supplements at all. They are great and will provide you with the full spectrum of nutrients you need if you are looking for solid food substitution, but they are still to this day - overrated

Thanks man! Too bad you're not there anymore. Although the gym is getting packed with new people. Haven't seen mike around..
Yeah I might join again this summer. The gym was super legit, I could feel the energy every time i walked in thru the doors lol. don't remember a single guy in there that wasn't serious about training. mentality was through the roof
I faintly remember you as the badass with the slick back hair, dragon tats and huge arms
