Suggestions for your guys favourite preworkout? Lately I've been lacking motivation after work/school and taking naps instead of hitting gym, hoping to use a good PW to get me going :drunk:

IMO, Motivation to hit the gym does not come from a pre-workout. Its a lifestyle and you have to enjoy it.

To answer your question, I enjoy the taste of Assualt and C4, although Assault may be a bit too sweet.

But yeah I agree, you're motivated to go when you enjoy working out, not because of pre-workouts.

I find White Flood Reborn to be good. Compared to other pre-workouts I've used it doesn't give me an uneasy feeling/crash after and a moderate amount of energy and focus for my workouts.

instantneedles 08-10-2013 02:00 PM

an alternative is to get something with high GI (ie. a glass of grape juice, or something else with high fructose) and take it half an hour before your workout.

This is if you're tired while at the gym. If it's because you're too tired to go to the gym that's a different story haha

Yeah like others are saying pwo has nothing to do with giving you motivation to actually go to the gym, that comes from your diet and how your brain feels (do you actually want to start looking good?) i worked out for 3 years half assed not actually changing my way of life ie diet and way of thought. Now i have seen more gains in 8 months of lifting then all that time. I eat "extremely healthy" compared to most now and go to the gym 7 days a week (last 4 months have been twice a day 2 hours each time 6-7 days a week) never having a single issue of "should i go today" or "im to tired" its just built into my brain now that i want to improve everyday. I really wish someone had explained to me the power of nutrition when i started.
As for pwo i take c4 only because i have it in my house at the moment, im going to move to instant coffee soon to make it alittle healthier. Also i fast for around 20 hours prior to each gym session (on dat dere intermittent fasting) My alertness and strength while fasted is greatly increased.

I still think that bananas are the best preworkout (like instant said, high fructose levels)
but if you're feeling like you have no motivation to workout anymore, maybe take a week off. You'll feel a lot more refreshed

hud 91gt 08-10-2013 03:43 PM

Coffee is all I take.

hotong 08-11-2013 05:01 PM

I rely on pre workout to get me to the gym

is350 08-12-2013 09:23 AM

Fructose should be avoided pre-workout, or at least be consumed 1hr before workout to avoid hypoglycemia and premature glycogen depletion.

hal0g0dv2 08-12-2013 10:43 AM

Finally decided to get serious about cutting, my diet isn't where it should be but still getting results with fat and weight loss. At my heaviest I was 230lbs that was 4 years ago, now I am roughly 193lbs. Feels good man, did a side by side comparison of a photo from when I went away in March and a photo I took recently, it looks like I gave birth and lost weight! lol

And all you guys that work out a Richmond Sports Club, say what's up next time it would be cool to meet some of you guys in this forum.

Berzerker 08-13-2013 10:08 AM

I lift as heavy a weight as I can for 10-15 reps for each set. Gotta get dat pump and stretch that facia!

For real though anyone into bodybuilding needs to educate themselves on the role your facia plays in your muscle building. Your facia once you reach a certain point is what limits your muscle growth. Stretching your facia by having prolonged "pumps" due to high volume pump style workouts allows more room for your muscle to repair and grow. This is what Synthol does. Contrary to popular opinion guys with "Synthol" muscles don't actually have artificially inflated oil sacks for muscles. It's all about stretching the facia and increasing the amount of room for your muscle to grow. The average person won't be able to repair their muscle fibers fast enough for FST (facia stretch training)type training to work but those who are taking gear and have a high repair rate benefit greatly from it.

Sorry for the novel.
