Ionno, I personally never really liked doing singles for training until closer to comp.. Just feel like there's too much breakdown in form.. I only do them so I get used to the feel of heavy singles and not for strength gains my rep schemes have always resided in the 10,8,5,4,3 and in rare cases 2 I ran through a sheiko 32 and it had me doing singles once a week and it was great because it was a comp prep program, but I found most of the strength gains came from the submaximal sets just from what I experienced |
