After a month layoff after moving to Edmonton I am stoked to get back into the gym. Yesterday I was at the park and knocked out 100 pullups (non consecutive of course) and today I bought Jim Wendler's Beyond 531. Also found a gym around the place I'm going to move that supposedly has bumper plates and lifting platforms. I can't wait to get started again

If you go to this Facebook Link & search through the comments, Generation Iron responds to someone asking about it playing in Vancouver with their reply saying, "Vancouver Cineplex Odeon International Village one night only October 7th"
I called them and talked to a manager but he seemed to have no information on it & said to check back in a week. Also said it may have been changed to the Fifth Avenue Cinemas but didn't state why that may be.
Sonick is a genius. I won't go into detail what's so great about his post. But it's damn good!

Anyone else working out forearms? Currently doing wrist curls but it's abit scary. I'm on the slender side so when I'm doing curls my thin bones that run down the back of my forearm are sticking out a shit ton. Looks like it's gunna snap any second.

Sounds like you need some more meat on you.

Agreed, for some reason my forearm is one of the most difficult parts to develop. Everywhere else I get meat and muscle pretty easily. Pretty scary to push myself for the wrist curls though so I'm probably going to take it slow with the forearm. Only thing I'm noticing with my curls is that the forearm area is getting overly toned and defined. Not really what I wanted...
Forearms and Calves are next to impossible to grow big if you arent genetically predisposed to them being large.
Skip wrist curls and that kinda shit and just lift heavy ass weight. And eat. and act like a man. chopping down trees with an axe while drinking beer and shooting guns and camping and driving 4x4s grow forearms.

yeah and no
do calves every day, trust me on this i have been doing calves every day past 3 months and i have seen better results then just hitting them once a week. do them at the end of your work out there is really no excuse to not do them
So the other day i pulled my bicep longhead tendon(dont know the fancy name), i kinda rolled it around a foam roller and pushed the tendon back into place because it shifted. Ever since then it's been a bitch to bench, deadlift, squat, etc. I basically can't do any exercises that strains the longhead tendon, is there any cure for this?

my friend is suffering from that right now. rest and let heal but who wants to take days off from the gym right
Thanks for the suggestion Halo, I'll give the farmers walk a try. It's still pretty early on in my forearm workout training though, so we'll see how that goes a few months from now. So far everything else is developing accordingly. Surprisingly I actually have really big calves, almost comparable to soccer calves. Must be from the Tae Kwon Do training back then.
