Trying out a new routine to change things up. Been doing Layne Norton for over a year.
I want to see how my body reacts to high volume lower weights. Most excercises 4x10-15.
Monday - Chest/shoulders and low intensity cardio 45min
Tues - Off
Wed - Legs
Thurs - Back
Fri - AM HIIT 45min and PM low intensity cardio 45min
Sat - Arms and low intensity cardio 45min
Sun - Calves/abs and low intensity cardio 45min
Was thinking about trying something similar to this rather than going heavy everytime. Going to give it a try in a couple months, still making gains on my current work out Posted via RS Mobile
^ how was layne norton for you in terms of strength gains?
squat and deadlifts up bench goes down slightly unless u change up day 1 a little bit
thats how it was for me, but might be because im eating at a deficit
as in more front squatting, less low bar squatting, bench for accessory etc etc?
kinda hybrid pl-oly style, since i dont work at a oly gym i cant do overhead shit. so every workout is like
- olympic lift (power cleans, pulls etc)
- squat (back or front)
- press (overhead, bench, klokov etc)
i do some light accessories, usually two movements at the end

Solid strength gains but I have flat lined after doing it for a year. Bench went from 205 to 225 (3x5). 1 RM 245lb. DL went from 315x5 to 365x5. 375 1RM. I'm 6'0" 185-188lb
Did chest/shoulders yesterday all 4x12. Had to swallow my pride and lower the weights to get the reps. I wanted to start fairly light so I can progress. Barbell bench 155lb 4x12 lol Feels like I worked a lot harder to get all my reps and was sweating like crazy. Feels good.
Took 1 mr before I left for my work out, is it just me or did they take out a major secret ingredient or something lol bc I didn't feel shit off 1 scoop. I haven't taken a pre work out in over 6 months, felt nothing. Posted via RS Mobile

Damn, tonight around midnight at the gym... I had my noise cancelling studio headphones on blasting music across on the other side of the gym. I could EASILY hear the group of guys yellin and groaning away while they did dumbbell presses. So ridiculously not necessary. A few of us were looking at each other like wtf Posted via RS Mobile
I only went to that side of the free weights for a split second. They all seemed pretty big, but I dunno. There were like 10 guys there that I've never seen before all huddled around each other. Must have been PR night or something Posted via RS Mobile
Anyone know where I can buy some 7" shorts similar in weight to running shorts but without the built in liners? My long shorts are a bit annoying for deadlifts and squats
anyone know where in vancouver sell the foam roller(trigger point)? moving to a different gym soon and most likely they not gonna have a foam roller there.
most likely not. Training frequency and intensity has dropped for me the past two months.. I will start picking it back up again coming 2014
I know a shitton of beasts, with unfathomable lifts will be competing in the 83 kg this coming meet so watch out guys. one of the guys is a single poly ply 3rd in IPF
