i don't let the weather dictate my workout if its cold out, i try to bundle up so i'm warmed up in the gym, if not i try to do extra warm up sets so the joints aren't locked up mind you, i was in the gym the other day when i had the flu.. so shitty weather is not comparable on that note, I was reading up andrey malanichev's (world record holder 1014lb raw squat) commentary on reddit, and apparently he does skipping before his workouts as warmup, and goes for 6-8km runs. not sure how much of it is actually true, but 6-8 km isn't exactly a short distance for a powerlifter... just goes to show how important conditioning work is, or "cardio" if you will.. at the same time, i'm sure all those liquids he's injecting into his body have some role to play in the recovery. i'm seeing a pattern with alot of the roid lifters, where they respond well to just train 3-4 times a week.. whereas all the natural drug free lifters respond well to training upwards of 5 days a week with tons of volume |
hit this after alot of working sets...gonna try for 215-225 when im fresh |
^^^^^^^ you got 2 plates for sure fresh |
